I'm envious of the people who've never met you.

Meeting you would be like spending an eternity beside N4U on a plane in econo seats.... even if it were only 30 seconds.

The forwards being in bad positions, breaking out of zone for breakaway pass being flatfooted and sometimes not being able to recieve a pass, has caused many of the poor breakouts.
The fans then turn around and blame Myers for dumping the puck out, when it was the only play available.

- Reubenkincade

All true. Lets see how BB runs his camp & rectifies the issues.

Our D needs support on breakouts from the speedy good puck handlers. Garland would be an example. Don’t let ops force what side the puck goes to. Bo is strong with puck. Boeser not imo. Miller is but has his gaffes. Pod is who is underrated imo.

I'm actually thinking you are NFU! Between flies, deer, politics, narratives, stupid hockey takes you're pretty well a 10/10 on the annoyance scale.

I see Hughes obviously a 1 man breakout most of time. Rathbone can become that. OEL is capable enough to suffice. Myers can if he learned better how to use his size & reach better. Dermott on occasion. Schenn no.

If a good speedy puck handling F or good possession C comes back to support break outs carrying it out then the D can activate more. That would be more to my liking.

The way teams pressure us on the forecheck & force us to one side & into dumping it off the boards was all to common. Seemed like we got pinned into 1 option only.

A more mobile D will be what I believe is the aim for management.

Each pairing needs the dynamics to compliment each other.

Other attributes needed mixed in like PK. & shot blocking & toughness with skating always a necessity in todays game.

Pretty tough to get it all. TB imo is a pretty good example before they traded McDonagh. Av’s are close if not there already. If nothing else riding 4 true top 4 D big minutes is the other option but we lack the 1 stud to go there.

Unless I've missed a key element to goals against like 5v5 or after a certain period during the season, which I doubt it because you got the goals for right.

The Canucks were actually 8th BEST in goals against last season. Ahead of Colorado.

- manvanfan

tied for 8th with LA. Great goaltending!

But 16th in goal differential, so middle of the pack, though finally back into the positives.

Don's never said anything to me about annoying. I have seen him put you in your place though...

You read his post like you read everyone else's... read 2 or 3 words then make the rest up in your pea brain... then run your low IQ mouth.

Was big on Pietrangelo to be our stud but timing & money was the problem. Don’t see a stud UFA available for next offseason. Only a trade will help us & that would mean a big & bold trade at that.

Leaves us where we are today & hoping we can draft one & wait for him to develop. So for now it’s up to our prospects to improve immensely.

Just listened to the JR interview. Even being a dinosaur, dude knows what they’re doing. Has the people in place. Love how into the players they signed he was. Love how realistic he is, and without making excuses.

Don’t know if all these guys will work out, or if they’ll get Miller signed or trade him (yes, it will be one or the other), but it really feels like these people will be able to get this team in a position to challenge for the cup. Just need some luck when they get there.

JR carried himself well, I agree with not rushing things, that's when you mess up. What stuck with me is how bad he feels for the players and their families with these rumors. The mans a straight shooter.

Bang on 👍

All of my ramblings shows me how tough it is in this league to make the signings or trades needed to get there. This management team has the ability amongst them to whittle away do what is needed. As you say not every move will work but no team ever makes it right every time. Believe in the process.

Canucks have only drafted 3 dmen in the first two rounds over the past 13 drafts

Canes and Avs have both drafted 9 in the first 2 rounds over that same span

Players have to be confident in management & coaches to be at their best. Support is crucial. Leadership is organizational top down then onto the ice.

Cannot wait for this season to start.

Yeah. If you’re texting with RD, the only reason Jim got upset with him is because of the way he asked the Miller question. Dahli needs an editor to write his interview stuff for him…

And here we are today. As I posted yesterday there were 7 RHD in the 2nd round of the draft.

True but hope now lies in the later picks. Only takes 1 or 2 to succeed.
Allow the next drafts to add talent.
