lol you are comparing Miller to Matthews who was almost a genrational draft pick for the Leafs? We signed Miller and didn't draft or develop him lol. Just a tad different on how that plays out. - LordHumungous
I think that's up there with some of your dumbest hockey takes yet.
The Canucks aren't challenging for a cup next year, so they definitely should be looking 3, 5, 7 years out on how to build a perennial contender. That's the priority, not some Benning inspired hope to just make the dance.
If we lose him for nothing then that's terrible asset management. The Canucks farm/prospect/young player system isn't good, it needs to be added to, and Miller is the best/quickest way to do that.
Also, even if the Canucks gained a poop ton of cap space like Calgary, they'd either have to make trades for players to fill it up (which costs assets), or spend in UFA which is usually an overpayment in dollars and term for non-star players, or for older star players that are going to have anchoring contracts. - NewYorkNuck
Exactly. Calgary actually had a decent window last year too, I wouldn’t have traded Johnny the way that team was playing. We don’t have that. Don’t have to look farther than our first defensive pair to see it.
EK saying Kane is a deadline move....and Kadri not getting his monster deal (yet) might be good fr moving Miller + lowering Millers demands for a contract (helping raise trade value) - maybe....lol

Apparently millennials are to blame for the current economic situation (high inflation). I knew those dirty millennials were at fault for something devious.

It's because they've been conditioned to believe in mediocrity rather than meritocracy. Equity instead of equality and that it's ok to fail, because there will always be someone to clean up the mistakes.

, that’s not what (this particular) economist said, but I like your reasoning better!

Really think Kuzmenko addresses scoring? For the one panarin that comes over, there are several dozen shirokovs. - Sayros
I think Kuzmenko has more of a Gusev 1st year. 40-50 points with 20g. Depends on pp1 or 2. We could see Bo drop to PP2 and give the 2nd unit more time each game. If Kuzmenko doesn't work on pp1, put Bo back there.
So how exactly are they supposed to offload OEL or Myers without attaching assets, which they've said they won't do (which is the correct course of action).
...and in the very same post, you say that if they lose either of the two guys they "need to offload", the d will be horrid and slide to the bottom of the standings.
You sound like a spoiled little brat that doesn't understand logic or process. - noisewater
Trading either is a mistake. Myers has positive value around the league. Just look at what a significantly worse Gudbranson got as a big RHD.
OEL needs to solidify our 2LD for a couple more years until someone younger beats him out for it.
Our best option for the next 5 years is to trade Garland for Marino or Carlo, sign Miller and Horvat to extensions and get rid of Pearson, Poolman(LTIR him with migrain issues?) and Richardinson next off season.

Why stop there? Millennials probably caused the housing crisis as well by not buying enough of them. Probably caused Covid too because of all the sarcasm. Maybe they even assassinated JFK?
In seriousness though, what was the reasoning this person gave as to why one specific age range of people is causing worldwide inflation?

Who knows what the nut job said but I can promise one thing. This is going to end very badly. The Bank of Canada is blowing it again. It’s remarkable they still don’t understand what’s causing inflation

American fed are idiots too. Way behind the curve and trying to play catch up now.

Pretty much every country is going through it right now – there are a lot of different factors.
Canada's sitting at 7.7%. The UK and the US are at 9.1%

They know. But the rich people causing it are probably using that wealth to shift the blame off of the.
They know what happens when poor people rise up out of the slavery they put us in.
