It would give them another $5M of LTIR overage to sign Kadri along with the rest of their players. - kingcong39
You know how valuable Bishop would be if that were true?

Well just a little something:
Could be a shuffling of the Hierarchy in the Sabres Organization very soon with Adams moving up to President and Ventura stepping in as GM with help from Karmanos. Not set in stone but being discussed. - Buff36
Very interesting stuff. That makes sense though. Keep Karmanos around by promoting him |

Think it's very fortunate we have Peca in Rochester, we have some very talented prospects about to flow through the system. Perfect coach to teach on the ice, but the off-ice stuff and training. Peca was a good player, but he worked for it. That's something that will be highly beneficial to these youngins. |

The New Jersey Devils have acquired John Marino from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Ty Smith and a 2023 third-round pick.
Marino had a goal and 25 points in 81 games while averaging 20:38 minutes last season. It was a strong showing and he's still young at 25. He comes with a $4.4 million cap hit through 2026-27 though, so the Penguins presumably wanted to shed his salary. Ty Smith still has one season left on his entry-level contract, so he's by far the more affordable option. - SABRES 89
High price. I liked Smith |

Like this signing, might not bring much offense, we already have 4 that can, he will make it tough on opponents in front and down the sidewalls. - Buff36
He and Sammy are going to be absolute animals on the back end this year. |

Any smart agent would have told Soto the same thing. He is 23 years old and if he signed that contract he would make just a tad under $30 million per year (a lot of money I know).
But we all know there are a few teams that would pay him more than $30 million per year on a shorter term contract. One team will give him $280 for 8 years ($35 million per) and then when he is 31 he would sign another 4 year $200 million contract or something insane based on how the league's contract have been headed. 12 years $480 million or 14 years $440 million...and then he could Pujols it up the rest of his career... |
