You're a wet blanket on kyle.

Consider the last captain, that guy (not thatguy tm) didnt know how to win or make people feel good about themselves

- Boss34

that was so unbelievably forced. it's nice to see a guy earn the captaincy despite not being one of the strongest offensive producers on the team.

Again, it's about setting a standard. I realize they're not going to contend this year, but at least pretend you're trying to. Making a career underachiever your "leader", does the exact opposite. And make no mistake, that's what he is. A 20 goal season on a team with absolutely zero expectations doesn't change that. If you don't have that guy, then sink or swim with a younger guy.

I want to see a LIV golfer win The Open (i.e. Dustin Johnson). I want chaos.
- buffalofan19

I don’t get what the big deal. I would’ve taken the LIV payday too. Guaranteed money.

So for where the LIV money comes from …. I mean we all support companies that do or have done bad things. Like Nike and sweat shops in China.

So what one company truly has money that isn’t tainted or dirty

The big deal is that the PGA Tour is butthurt that their monopoly on the sport is threatened, but they can't say that out loud, so they are using the source of the LIV money to grandstand and pretend it's about something else. It's pretty obvious to anyone that chooses to look.

I'm not sure you're clear on the qualities of a leader. But this ain't it.

I'm not too interested in a debate on the merits of what makes a man a leader, but pointzzz is not exactly a priority.

I know the guy personally, I can assure you there's no one better suited for that room.

Your drafted core is what will win you a cup. This is true of every team in the cap era.

We've both watched the same frustration.
Probably more than thatguy

Just constant complaints with ZERO answers

Very draining to read the same poster cry all day every day no matter how many disagree with him.

What I saw in that speech was a bunch of young kids paying attention to the speaker. Okposo had there eyes, they actually wanted to hear what he had to say.

"It would cost Buffalo over 11 million to sign Johnny Hockey."

Signs in Columbus for under 10 MIl.

Imagine having him on this team.

Meh.

Where are they without Pietrangelo, Tarasenko, Parayko, Binnington, Perron and Schwartz. Those two acquisitions though definitely got them there.

Buffalo has been the exception there.

There are so many young captains, Buffalo just chose a bad one.

Some guys can command a room no matter the situation. He's universally respected and loved. All of that and he didn't even score 50 ptzzz

Once again lending credence that a captain should be chosen on the merits of the man and not how many (frank)ing points he can score.

With those guys they're the Minnesota Wild. In the dance every year but going nowhere.

With Schenn and ROR, they're cup winners.

I am really trying to turn that corner. I really don't understand some of it, but I am moving on. I think the Sabres missed a opportunity here with the assets they had, but I can also understand what Adams is doing. I just "HOPE", sick of that word in aspect to the Sabres it works.

Personally I think it was a fluke, but still they were traded assets, not UFAs. Every cup team has complimentary assets. That team was pretty low scoring for a cup winner and those two did a lot of heavy lifting.

So if it would make you feel fuzzy, almost all cup winners have a drafted core carry them to the top.
