Those other 2 teams didn't go through what we went through last offseason.

And skinner and Thompson are 2/3rds our top line. Neither drafted. We have been doing both. Not acquiring a Cat this year doesn’t mean we can’t in two years when we know what young guys are actually good on our team

Acquiring prospects like Tage and Krebs, I still stick them into the drafted prospects side of building a team. If you need to be technical, it's a trade.

the wings literally added a goalie, 2 d men and 3 guys up front w/o breaking the bank which is over 20 percent of the roster

I think if the goal is to ice the best team possible given all the cap space and assets, it should not have been expecting too much to grab an impact player for the middle 6 and a decent d man to play 20 minutes with dahlin or power
