No no, we’re getting Kane at 50% and it’s costing us nothing bc Kane only wants to play for the NYR and bc we’re the NYR. 🧐 |

I like what Drury has done. |

Rangers 5 biggest needs going into off-season:
1) obtain a 2C, preferably one that is good at faceoffs
2) unload Georgi and get a capable backup to replace him
3) get rid of Nemeth via trade or buyout
4) don't expend all of our assets and leave our cupboard of prospects bare and re- sign our RFA's
5) add a quality skating coach to our staff
Drury has done most of the above ---- solid start to our offseason |

I never said its costing us nothing, but Im also not emptying the prospect pool. As Ive said some sort of combo of a 1st, Cuylle, Nils should get it done. |

Getting a capable backup for 1mil+ will be really difficult IMO. Gonna need a guy who can play at least 30 games so Igor is fresh for the playoffs. |

So far so good and Im ok waiting on Kane. I think were still plenty good enough to make the playoffs but Im not sure if, as is, theyre good enough to make the finals. Theyd need some major jump in play from Kakko and Chytil, Kravtsov would need to be that Buch twin that we thought we had. Even still I think if were rolling that well, we should still get Kane. |

Halak has been good even at his age, and Domingue clearly is very capable in spot starts. |

What do u think Nils value is? U think trading Cuylle who projects as a middle 6 physical forward that’s exceeded all expectations so far is a good idea? All for 30 games of Kane? |

Absolutely do. For atleast the next 3 years… we have LAF, Panarin and Kreider as our LW along with Goodrow. Throw in Othmann who’s looking like he could be top 6 winger. Where does that leave Cuylle on our depth chart? You want to just leave him in the AHL for years til something opens up IF he ever reaches that potential Rangers fans have labeled him as? Or do you want to win a Stanley Cup?
I have no idea what Nils value is anymore, I would have traded him last year when he was a hot commodoty. |

Nils, Jones, Robertson. Who finishes their career most successful? My gut tells me Robertson. Just a gut feeling. |

I don’t think Nils was ever a hot commodity outside of us Rangers fans. In all the prospect rankings since the draft he’s always been towards the bottom. Just because Cuylle doesn’t have a spot today (and he actually might if he switched to the right side) doesn’t mean u trade him just because. |

Ive been big on Robertson since day 1. I think he and Schneider could develop into one of the best pairs in the league. |

People just think, oh, throw him to the other wing, thats so easy. No, its not.
And this isnt a trade just because, this is a trade to win a Stanley Cup. |

You see my boy Poehling got dealt to Mtl?
Not mad or anything just every time I predict or want a player he goes to a different team haha |

Ya, I don’t think he’s a loss. If we got him on the cheap cheap nothing to lose. Seems like he was a throw in in that deal |

Maybe would have been nice but I want an open lane for Robertson to develop. I think hes gonna be good. |

Pens acquired him from MTL as part of the Petry trade. You'll get to see him a lot in black and yellow. |

That’s some weird trades Penguins made yesterday
Like put some defensemen in a Yahtzee cup, rolled it and went with what came out.
I do like Ty Smith though |

Hextall's comment about him not having to pass through waivers wasn't exactly a vote of confidence. |

I’m just astounded that they prefer Petry to Matheson and Marino. Lol. So weird |

Yes I meant to say Pittsburgh. I had Poehling on the rangers about a dozen times doing that arm chair thing. |
