I was a bit disappointed at first to see Phoeling included... but as was mentioned, he was passed over on the depth chart by others, and when your one of the worst teams in the league at center and your still being passed over, well, maybe it wasn't meant to be.

Poehling was another first round failure for our old friends Bergy/Timmins.

so, 1.2M under tha cap. need to sign Dach and Montembeault.
also, too many forwards. either Pezzeta gets waived off or they trade another one for picks. unless Byron hits LITR.

Plenty of time to solve that before camp This is a good day, aside from being woken up from my covid nap by an exploding with notifications phone lol

oh yes no hurry. Price and/or Byron could be placed on LITR and fix everything.

Byron + Price on LiTR.

Plenty of cap space.

Total of $13.9 million with them both? 10.5 and 3.4? Or is Byron more than that??

I'd still like to have a spot open, maybe 2. Slafkovsky and Ylonen will eventually need to play. maybe not game 1 of the season, but certainly sometime come the tdl.

No kidding!! A 1-legged goalie no less. Let’s hope he can’t start and play in the NHL anymore to free up that ridiculous amount of cap space from “Mystery Knees”.

Geoff Molson should have slapped Bergy behind the head when he gave out that ridiculous contract.

If I was Molson, I'd get Price in my office and tell him to piss or get off the pot.
Can you play? ... YES or NO?

One year of this BS is tying HuGo's hand.

MB will only be remembered for all of his dubious records set as he took this team, org and franchise to an all-new low.

I like the new management team, intellect, patience, proper planning and smart articulate moves…..so far!!

Price has been handcuffing this team for years. I agree. But I think there has to be supporting medical directives and diagnosis’ to legit go on LTIR, not like Weber lol

I am very pro HuGo, and really glad we did not go in another direction everyone else was screaming for (and immediately complaining they did not hire).

The MSL hire I am still on the fence about, but I do not have a DD fear with him... I feel like he can help develop players, but not sure he is a coach to get them over the top - when all the assets are ready - unless he gets more veteran help behind the bench.

I agree!! If MSL can build up the culture, work ethic and establish a pace of play to get the org up and running after this 3-decade debacle then he can move up to a different position and let someone with more experience take over. Or if he kills it, keep the man at the coaching position! I think he will do great.

But overall, our trajectory is better off now, even after a basement finish, because I believe the org has finally learned what they need to do to compete in modern markets. 👍🏻
