Yeah I heard that one, when then I also "when I played against him..."

But what really bothered me when early in the year Colby was with another you play by play guy and they went off the play for these long periods with their best iimitation of Foley and Eddie, where they go off subject talking about each other (fondly in Eddie and Pat's case).

Colby and this play by play would let go in the pissing war. It was a subject referred to over later and then again, as if Colby just couldn't take what he thought was being one upped. (Anybody remember this?)

and even when he is down at ringside, he talks too much.

I also remember a game when he was down there with Eddie and Pat and they basically "checked" him to the third tier where his voice belongs.

Not a big loss. I loved tallon foley. Foley when he came back wasn't great after the 1st cup he was horrible. Eddie has always been average to me. Towards the last 5 years he was cringeworthy with foley but average nationally. Darren Pang adam burish ot stu grimson. Colby isn't bad pre post game with chelios's daughter who is muh I like grimson for post game if he doesn't get the commentary gig. I think sharp would be bad, he's more timid.

Did you watch the scrimmage a couple days ago? Despite having new coach Richardson and new GM Davidson on as guests Cohen managed to speak more words than either of them!!! ..... Does anything else need said about Cohen?

Edzo away from Foley is as good as it gets except for maybe Wiedeman and if he doesn't tweet good enough Ms Faulkner will find a way for them to "somehow" not find common ground for a new contract when that day comes.

I'll say this, the older I get, the farther away from old school PBP/Color guys and the more guys/gals are in the booth from the selfie generations the less entertaining/informative sport becomes and guys like Edzo and Foley for all their flaws are more and more revered.

Nah, not a huge fan. Feel like the TNT broadcast during the playoffs when he wasn't allowed into Canada for whatever reason were significantly better.

He was a fine as a sidekick for foley or doc but that's really about it.

As much as I hated him as Vancouver Canuck, Bieksa is an outstanding up and coming broadcaster. His knowledge, anecdotes and intelligent humour make him a very good colour guy. I’ve never been a fan of Olczyk, between his condescending attempts at outlining the finer points of the game and his childish humour. He was much better on the National feeds but there are many much better broadcasters in the US and Canada.

Try reading some of the reports out there. Edzo said it was his decision and the Hawks thought they had a verbal agreement in place. Yes, it is entirely possible its all spin but I am sure we will find out if that is the case down the road.

At the end of the day, it has no effect on the on ice product.

I've never met any Western Canadian that talks like that, and I live there. We enunciate much better than those in the Eastern provinces.

Ferraro is from BC, Mike Babcock is from Saskatoon both talk like that, no? People in Northern Ontario have a similar accent.
