This whole thing has screwed Hockey Canada forever, they'll never get the funding or sponsorships back, because they chose to cover up an ALLEGED sexual assault. This looks like a case of buyer's remorse and a bunch of elite athletes trying to cover their asses. It's brought down a group of hockey players and ruined reputations of those who played but weren't involved and marred the organization forever in the eyes in the public.

F*ck them.
“Hockey Canada keeps a special multimillion-dollar fund, which is fed by the registration fees of players across the country, that it uses to pay out settlements in cases of alleged sexual assault without its insurance company...”

"I think they are people in the organization starting to feel that they shouldn't move him because he's that valuable...they're going to have to find a way to get him on a long-term deal."

on the #Canucks keeping J.T. Miller.

They need to clean house. The Virtanen crap is worse though. That sick (frank) belongs in prison

The jury has just been shown cellphone video of then-forward for the @Canucks, Jake Virtanen—intoxicated to the point of vomiting—at the Calgary Stampede in 2017. Also in the footage is the complainant, holding a bowl which Virtanen was vomiting into

The Kyle Beach incident came to light in what October? Fans still showed up to games and it doesn't seem that a lot of other teams would be against trading for Toews and Kane.
Hockey Canada whoever was involved the same as the Blackhawks really dropped the ball. Some actions clearly needed to be taken but Hockey Canada isn't a person that made the decisions.
Personally, whoever is guilty will have a ruined reputation among the players but honestly I'm not looking down on the team because of a couple individuals. I know many others who feel the same way.

I’ve preached patience with this front office, and I’ve like a lot of what they’ve done. But paying JT at age 30 with a team that’s done nothing as a group, is a gigantic red flag that nothing has really changed.

Rick Westhead was on the Steve Dangle Podcast talking about this, and how they went years without reaching a settlement until he emailed them telling him he was writing a story about it. They reached a settlement days later.

I'd agree if it was one or two players involved. This was several, even if the rest weren't involved, they look bad for either knowing about it and not speaking up, or else not saying to the group, "Hey, this girl's too drunk, even if she says yes, she's not going to be happy when she sobers up. This might not be good idea."

How the (frank) is that a problem? Personal responsibility applies to everyone.

Boo hoo. Cry me a river.
Then Booner can pack his 70 different fishing rods and fish it.
Funny seeing lineups from posters, that put together the softest players on the roster together.
Could you imagine a line of Hoglander, Pouty and Boeser, talk about fun to play against.
Also, lineups without the teams most consistent defensive forward, winner of board-battles, net front presence and penalty killer, not in the lineup.
Lol - Reubenkincade
Which posters line-up?
