My bad. I was just reading the post that he was responding to, and it sounded to me like he was going from NJs POV. 😂 I’d have a hard time arguing this is not a flyers board, so I’ll agree with that - Oberyn23
I was. It's all good. I believe it all started from a post about how "if the Devils end up with him" |

That’s what really sucks. It doesn’t seem like management has much confidence in the Ratcliffs, Cates, and Allison (if he could stay healthy) compete for a spot. They’re content with 4th line journeymen. - Oberyn23
Cates is likely in line for a 3rd line winger spot. Or maybe higher. Allison in my opinion would already be an NHL player if he could stay healthy for more than a day and scoring goals in this league. It's a shame.

Possible. Not sure what Chuck was thinking. Hard to follow him. The insurance was Tony D. The insurance to the insurance is Braun. This team might want to get an insurance to the insurance to the insurance with their injury history. - peesinwind
Look, all I know is Attard in my opinion doesn’t have a shot in hell of starting ahead of Ristolainen, DeAngelo or Braun on the right side. We all know where Ristolainen will be slotted and what he’s paid guarantees him a spot opening night. DeAngelo is the hometown boy coming home and paid handsomely to do so. Justin Braun has for the most part been Provorov’s partner the passed two seasons. He’s not just a third pair 6th defender. He’s insurance in case DeAngelo cannot handle top billing. |

Hopefully Noah Cates gets a shot a 3LW with Frost and Tippett.
Kind of sucks for Laszynski and Allison imo. - rayc16
Where does Laughton slot? Maybe if Farabee starts out on the IR.
The Flyers have a tone of bottom 6 players. It will be interesting to see who slots where and who is left as the 13th and 14th forwards. |

I hope I'm wrong but I see Brown and MacEwen as locks. Brown centering MacEwen and Deslauriers. All 3 players shouldn't be on the team. - MJL
This team will struggle to score. They will employ a 4th line that offers less than zero offensively. Will get caved in defensive. Will bleed chances. 3 no future bums.
Those 3 will absolutely be the 4th line. This is what a piss poor archaic run organization does.
Rather roll out a Radcliffe - Tanner - Allison 4th line all day every day. Or some combination of those and someone else. |

This was in response to if the Devils would end with him.
But to answer your question in regards to the Flyers I'm hanging onto 1st round picks for the foreseeable future. - Pelle31Forever
Agreed…on all fronts. If I was the devils I’d consider listening to their asking price. Might be the best type of player to help the youth come along. Flyers need to draft well, & not get sucked into long term depth signings. I’m still curious what Chuck was thinking about JG (as a UFA)…do you guys think he has quite a few good years left in him & could be solid with a young, talented team (assuming flyers drafted in top 5 again in 23 & maybe top 10 in 24)? Haha I wish I could see the direction of this team |

Yeah. I hope your wrong also. Not sure Brown and MacEwen are looks. Allison look like Tippetts until Allison got hurt (again🙄) and Cates was making plays. Both are not babies as they went through the college ranks. Brown and MacEwen are NHL players for sure. Just hope the kids are good enough to up seat them. - peesinwind
Cates is a winger. Has he played center in the passed? I have no idea. All I know is, Brown was a staple to the PK, and if Allison is healthy, he’s a natural right winger who likely has the inside track on beating out MacEwen. |

Guessing he'll be LW in the top 6 until Farabee's ready. I'm sure there will be like 4 more injuries before the season starts. Good thing about Laughton is you can slot him almost anywhere. |

Yeah. Attard seemed like a decent player. I think he has a future in the NHL. Not sure he is ready to hold down the 3rd pairing yet. I’m glad he will have to battle his way in right now. He is no York yet.
In my mind York is looking strong at playing in the NHL. The guy was solid last year. Pretty good at moving the puck for his age. I like him a lot.

Wrong.
Please stop lying.
You literally typed 'they think he can be as good as Giroux."
Nope I never said that nor implied that.
I always stated that Frost and Patrick were viewed as hopeful replacements at the top 2 center positions. Hence why Hextall drafted them both in the 1st round.
You just got caught in a lie.
You are wrong about everything and can't accept it. So you lie and throw things out there.

I think I’m most excited about what he can do this upcoming year (if healthy knock on wood). He looks like he can be something (dare I say a Kimmo lite)…I just hope the kid can contribute though.

Yeah. Cates played center most of his collage career. I think he is more slotted as a winger in the NHL but as a swing man upside. He was pretty decent on the dot in collage. I followed Cates in collage and he was always projecting to me as a sound defensive forward the can play up as needed. This kid plays smart. He has a chance. |

I don’t have strong hopes for Attard. At least not on the Flyers.
I’ll put it this way. York couldn’t even leap frog over Yandle for most of the last. Frost kept getting shipped in and out of the minors and was in the line up, couldn’t find playing time with reliable linemates. So if these guys couldn’t be properly handed a well deserved spot on the team , how are Cates and Attard suppose to be? |

They will struggle to score. You can't even use that line in a defensive role. They'll get caved in shift after shift. The Flyers have an opportunity to have a 4th line with some young talent on it. Hopefully that speculation is wrong but that's what I see happening.

Not hard to see happening when you sign ND and have Zac back in the fold. Leaves you speechless. |

Well this is good news for Cates but I doubt he beats out Brown. Brown brought too much to the table last season. Brown was actually a really good penalty killer last season. |

Right. Laughton is a utility knife. He could even slot down and play 4th line center duties. Although would hate to have him there. But Allison is not equipped to play on the 4th line. If he stays healthy he could push for top 9 winger. |

Have there been instances in the past where Torts goes directly against the GM. ND is fresh off a 4 year deal, can’t see him riding pine. Macewan needs to be stapled to the press box. |
