Soooooooo
All we have left is to sign the NHL equivalent of Kyrie, to a massive deal with a full NMC then we can put the off-season to bed! |

I'm fairly certain that the settlement was approved by a court in the first place. Who the heck knows what's going on... it's Canada.
Aside from that, at 18/19/20 years old on the cusp of a likely lucrative professional hockey career, WTF are they thinking? You have to be aware of the fact that there's a target on your back now and anything or anyone with an axe to grind can literally ruin your career and your life. So one kid wants to smash a chick, so what. When many others join the fray it becomes a whole different situation, and they should know better even if it's consented to by the girl. Just stay away. Water under the bridge now and the politicians are now involved. - Letterkenney
She consented with one player, who when done called in his buddies.

Exactly. It’s entirely possible he didn’t know who Johnny Gaudreau was or what a salary cap is. - funmaster18
Now that I think about it. Let's go with that.

And that elite forward got them to how many Stanley Cup rounds?
Since getting Zibanejad, they have been in 2016 they have made the playoffs 4 times and made it to the Conference finals once.
Since acquiring Panarin, they made the playoffs 3 times, and made it to the Conference finals once and IMO that was due to their goalie.
Hawks have 2 super stars, will they be a playoff team? - WhiskeyMan
One of the dumber posts I’ve seen. The hawks already won 3 times and NYR is in a great spot moving forward |

Fletcher with his incompetence misread the market and thought he would be able to move JVR. He found the price too high. - MJL
To his surprise, after he determined he couldn’t pay the price, he found they DID in fact have some future draft picks remaining and was disappointed he wasn’t able to use them move JVR out of the way to bring in big money free agents. |

Worth a listen to that Tony D interview. Comes across as honest through it all. Clearly a guy with a temper but doesn’t seem so bad. - ClaudeFather
Which is why you judge people on their actions. NY was a couple of years ago when he was already successful in his profession.
It's unnecessary to have him around. |

Maybe we can find you a safe space. It’s professional hockey, no one inside the locker room is bothered by this guy and that’s all that matters. |

What happens when and if Chytil, Lafreniere and Kakko explode? They'll be a juggernaut.

Hard to believe that the top ranked Flyers analytics department couldn't help him with that.

Maybe they have their filter upside down. Hence the Risto trade and signing and the passing of Johnny hockey. Simple mistake. |

Is that similar to how you can't possibly know that he will be a problem moving forward?

Hopefully he plays a full season. That is the minimum for me. I would like to see him get 40+ points. - mickel25
this is fair, but even if he gets in the 30's and uses his gifts, I would be ok

Perhaps one more hire would help, make it 7 in the department. Nah, Scott said we were 2 to 3 people away.
Oops, that was players.... |

They need to release the names of the players involved, imo. Until then, everyone on the team is a suspect and that's not fair to them. |

Question. What is Braun’s contract. I saw it reported at one year at 1.75 but when I look at cap friendly it shows it at 1.0 for one year. Which one is it? |

That is apparently the story. She left the bar with one guy and went back to the hotel with him. Following their activities others came in to join. She claimed she was too drunk to make a sound judgement. Someone here posted a link to that info earlier. |

*laughter*
"whoops, whoops"
"You have very similar bags"
"Actually Chuck Fletcher's became my favorite GM after the answer he gave about how it was gonna be too hard to move a couple contracts to get one of the best playmakers we've seen in the last f***ing what 5-10 years."
Gaudreau: "Oh, geez..."
"Come on it's f***ing hilarious, dude, he just didn't even want to work to get it done, so suck on that one Johnny". - Feanor
Was just listening to this....They clowned on him hard, and deservedly so. The guy is the laughing stock of the league and had pulled the organization down with him. I remember last year the debate on here about how Philly wasn't like those other cellar dwelling teams for various reasons, and they're well respected around the league as an organization. Whatever bit of respect and prestige they had, is totally gone. The level of hubris this organization displays is simply unimaginable.

Bill Meltzer: Big Challenge, Opportunity for Frost - bmeltzer
Thank you for the write-up, Bill.
One question: you write about how Yeo needed to teach Frost how to change to play an NHL game ( keep your feet moving, use your body more, protect the puck etc.), and I appreciate hearing how that works, but shouldn't all of that be taught at the AHL level? Are we really supposed to bring in rookies to play in NHL games and then use those games to teach them how to play? I always thought of the AHL and, frankly, QMHL and NCAA and ECHL. as mostly preparing players to play at the NHL level, rather than just to please the couple of hundred fans in the stands? |

Bill,
Have you heard anything why the equipment manager was fired? Those guys typically stay in those positions forever or at the very least stay in the organization in some capacity, don’t they? I’ve just never heard of one getting let go. |
