I also can't see Bo defending a fellow player when he's getting beat up.

I suspect I’m alone on this but I’d consider keeping Miller and risk losing him for nothing. If teams are only offering a later first and fringe prospects (frank) it. The forwards are talented and deep with Miller. The D might be adequate now that we have a stronger bottom 6 that will hopefully back check for a change. And we have Demko.

Our division sucks. Calgary is no longer a threat. Take a shot at a playoff run as it shouldn’t be hard getting in.

Again, this of course only makes sense if the Miller return continues to stink. I’d rather lose him fro nothing than hand him a 7 or 8 year contract. Obviously if we go this route Bo has to be resigned soon

I'm with you here. I think if they can make the playoffs it would be fine to let him walk, it will level up the entire roster. Experience is what helps improve players (and the entire team). Pure training and innate talent can only bring you so far, and the McDavids are the exceptions and not the norm.

It will suck that we don't get any futures if he walks at the end, but IMO if they make the playoffs it will be worth it.

Maybe it’s time for players to start defending themselves. Why rely on someone else to fight your battles? This ain’t the playground. You’re in the pros. Learn to throw a punch.

Really? I've seen him speed bagged by Nurse (who took it easy on him).

You realize we have several players "playground" size right?

👍🏻 Also the thought of handing NY miller for a sh!t return and them winning the cup is about the worst scenario I can think about. (frank) helping other teams

Is Bo the leader of the "Country Club"? If he isn't what has he done to fix it?
- VanHockeyGuy

Bo has steadily improved every season while other players are up and down... it's up to management to add players to make this team tougher... but you expect a player getting the C sewn on his jersey is supposed to become a different player???(narrow minded) They don't get the C because they want that player to reshape his personality... that's backwards.

Miller has been here years now and yet you still call it the country club. But magically, if gets the C, it all changes? Like I said, infantile logic.

I think that's Aquilini's plan, hope to get some playoff revenue and let him walk.

That's BS. They both landed a couple of shots and both swung wild a couple of times. I give the edge to Bo but not by much Hockeyfights.com has Bo at 75% on that fight.

Nurse speed bagging him You are such a liar.

Looks pretty good but I’d swap 6 and 8
- CanuckDon

Possibly, I don't see for sure top 4 upside in Pettersson though. With Van's weak defence and future he might be forced to play in top 4 though

I remember him getting after guys taking runs at young guys multiple times over the past couple years. Guess it’s all about what sticks out for you.

I mean, if it were up to me I’d trade half the team. But we won’t. So Aquilini wins

One thing is certain he’s not gonna be given away. Patience if no deal gets signed. 7-8yrs has to be a team friendly or it’s 6yrs at fair market value. If no deal & he plays very well again he’ll fetch a good TDL package & earn his next pay day. I’m betting on playing very well again cuz highly motivated to do so. I don’t prescribe to we’ll not get a good package af the TDL. He’s a legit top line force & they don’t grow on trees & any team looking for a big push will want him.

Well he is already playing in the SHL and doing fine. Plus he has size. Seems like a decent bet to play games one day.
