Before the season starts every single Canuck player is anticipated to have a career year. It’s the rest of the league that’s up and down.

There is a good handful that can easily up their productivity without asking for much. That is more expected.

A healthy Petey with a full training camp under him, Brock with better focus, Pod who keeps getting better, Bones with AHL seasoning success, Hog with something to prove, Dlcky want to bounce back. Deeper top 9. Better PK expected.

All reasonable factors & expectations to ask for.

It starts with EP & QH who admittedly had difficulty getting started by holding out. Lead by example.

Yes, if everything goes right we might might squeek into playoffs. But not everything goes right and I think we'd be one or two injuries away from bottom 10 ... but not the good part of bottom 10 draftwise of course.

There is always that but bottom 10 is a bit much for this roster. Many teams losing 2 key injuries would face a similar fate. The D play will be the decider.

Much depends on how well training camp goes & if a fresh start without Green goes as expected.

more potential than the naysayers seem to think with that many young guys, Kuzmenko and Miky add a few new elements too. Just the D that worries me, but pretty decent team and a weak division.

Just needs to gel & BB seems the man to do it. Yes go as far as the D can take us. Should be a PO push or it’s another disappointing season.

What if one of those injuries is Demko? Something nagging?

I'm thinking that's why they grabbed Delia. He's got experience jumping around between the two leagues. Not horrible numbers.

Seriously? We're resigning a 30 year old Miller to a 6-8 year contract?? His best season was last year and he's due for a drop off. At best he'll hit 60-75 points which is fine for this year at least, but we sure aren't going to make the playoffs, especially with Edmonton improving, LA having made the playoffs and their kids being a year older and Anaheim is pushing. There's no guarantee we'll slide into the 3rd spot even IF Calgary sucks this year.

I get Messier vibes from Miller, if we resign him I have a feeling it's going to be 1997 all over again, and god help the team then.

3rd stringer is a very important and underrated position.

Who wears the 'C' for the Canucks is the last thing this team needs to worry about. Focus on the unravelling.

I'm not sure you understand, there has to be drama here, you know, General Hospital/As the World Turns type stuff. It what it is.

Too bad our kids aren’t a year older lol

There’s no guarantee for any team.

Why will Miller drop from 99 to 60 points? I’m assuming you have reasoning ?

I could care less if he stays or goes. If he stays hopefully it's on a team friendly deal, which is unlikely.

They say they want younger players to fit in with the core, not sure how they make that happen with the contracts coming up.

They didn’t go so far as saying all to be younger. Hello Pearson lol

Miky & Kuzmenko aren’t old.
