difference climate wise between western ny and ontario is minimal at best

both have nice areas, both have not so nice areas

now the difference between south beach and either ontario or WNY is huge

I think the opinions of Canada vs Florida for chunker make sense.

As for Buffalo. Some players like playing here because they are close to home or families have an easier time going to games

Owen power for example has gone to a few Sabres game as a kid.

Skinner also lived close by too and has family come visit and go to games

So yes Buffalo isn’t better than Canada.

But Calgary vs Florida. Massive difference.

Why move him? Too old? Luke adam/ justin bailey gonna replace him?

Olofsson did the Sabres a favor, signing a team friendly contract. If we make the playoffs with him, why move him? If we dont make the playoffs, absolutely consider trading olo.

Olo made progress 5-on-5 this year but his primary value is still as the trigger man opposite tall guy on the PP. If Quinn can take Olo's job while on a cheaper bridge deal, then the Sabres will likely take that route and save the money. Just my feeling.

I think if quinn and peterka show 20 goal potential in their rookie year, and the sabres are 10 points or more out of the playoffs at the deadline, olofsson is moved at the deadline

Still don't get Portillo's reluctance. If it is merely the G pipeline with him, Levi and UPL competing; that tells me the Sabres should move him...let's hope he kills it this season, include him in a package at the TDL.
