I was gonna say so is Jacob Josefson, but he hasn’t quite been the same since his urethra was torn in a skate blade incident with Joel Lundqvist.

Wikipedia was thankfully light on details. But it should also be noted that after he came back, he did win the coveted Guldhjälmen, as voted on by his peers. Dude deserved some sort of award.

Klingberg would have been a nice addition for 4 years for this young d core

why the sabres refused to consider him is mind numbing

Where was it reported that we REFUSED to consider him?

1. swede
2. former all star
3. RD
4. finished in the top 6 for norris a few years ago

perfect fit for either dahlin or power, and on the cheap

- homiedclown

Why is an “offensive” defenseman a perfect fit for either of them?
Seems to me the perfect fit would be someone stronger in their own end

Lyubushkin is that rare player who actually greatly hinders offense for both teams when he's on the ice.

That's why he's ideally a 3rd pair player.

I think you'll find out within 10 to 20 games of watching him on the Sabres.

Did u watch a lot of Coyotes games?

To be fair, there are like 5 players on the roster currently that aren’t black holes defensively.

Lybushkin has a fan in me.

Colin Miller and John Klingberg had identical impact metrics last season.

Loob provided more positive impact for both the Coyotes and the Leafs than John Klingberg did for the Stars.

I’d make sure he’s on the ice when we are on the road and the Thompson and Skinner line are on the ice so we don’t get fisted like we did the last game against Florida when each of those guys were a -3 a piece

This sounds right. I'm not familiar with Klingberg, but it sounds like he earns his $ mostly on the power play. If Dahlin is pp1 and Power pp2, we don't need this guy. Don't overpay for redundancy.

Klingberg has NEVER been known for his work in his own end

An “offensive” defenseman is the last style of partner we need for Dahlin or Power

Spending Cap Space on the wrong guy(s) will do more harm than good

why must you.

Klingberg looks great on the box score, but he's a pylon in his own zone. hence why he can't get the money he's looking for. teams watched tyson barrie and basically see the same guy. Except Klingberg is worse in his own end.

Lindell was a net positive. below par offense, pretty high quality defense.

risk reward player

his partner however

"Esa Lindell also had one of his worst seasons as one of the Stars’ go-to defensive defensemen. Lindell, who finished with four goals and 21 assists, had one of the worst Corsi percentages on the team at a minus-5.1."

Other than you whining about how Adams “refused to consider” a guy who we shouldn’t even want?

But then again,
you never could handle when someone had a different opinion than you
