3rd line role with poop line mates. If he has a better line mates he would do just fine.
- manvanfan

Yup Bo sucks adios. Sure it’s on his linemates to insulate him. Better F depth should help him be better eh?

9th highest points before adding Miky & Kuz. Worst +/- of that group. Less ppg than Chiasson & Schenn & Hunt. Played 60 games. Woohoo the kid is an up n comer. Lol

He will bump the player that is struggling, it's not Kuz or Hogs. As Don stated Kuz was wooed, taken the top restaurants, not Ricky's, he will be given a much longer leash than Hogs.

Is your question answered?

No it doesn't because we already established it wasn't Kuz. There are many players on this team that could have a poor camp and are also not getting waived(if needed) to go to Abby...

Obviously it's not going to be Miller, Petey, Bo, Boeser, Podz, Garland, Mikhayev, Lazar, Pearson, Joshua...

Nobody in here dislikes Hog but defending him has no merit. He’s just another tweener that has to overcome the odds. He is owed squat. He owes it to himself to prove he belongs. He’s small & plays small & has no particular skill that stands out. Worst +/- on the team. The only optimism lies in it’s a new season & he better come to prove he belongs in a big way. Teams don’t wait on smurfs.

Well you asked who would he bump, there was nothing about going to be waived, if Hogs has fantastic camp he would probably stay up, maybe press box while maybe someone else struggles. Yes he could replace Podz, Garland, Lazar, Pearson, Joshua, but he really needs to earn it and someone will have to poop the bed. Not much of a chance the top players are sidelined, but I think expectations are a bit higher with management and they will not hesitate to make corrections.

But like everyone here what the (frank) do any of us know, because we are not in the know, know what I mean.

It should go without saying... someone not waiver exempt gets sent down, they get waived...lol

I could see them making a trade of someone... Pearson perhaps. Look at it this way, if Hoglander has a very good showing in camp/preseason, management would be dumb and hypocritical for not using a player with a ELC salary over a redundant player with a cap hit of millions. They are not likely going to show some brainless bias like fans do...

Who does Hog bump? I guess his best chance is Pearson but that’s pretty unlikely

Edit: assuming they won’t put Hog on the 4th line

So if it cost CBJ a 3rd/4th to move a young 28g 57pt Bjorkstrand you think we get something back for Pearson? Lol

Pearson 3,250,000

Hoglander 891,667

The cap saving would have to be appealing to PA.

Well they won’t get additional salary relief from demoting Pearson though ?

I'd think they would move him not send him down... Pearson isnt going to have that kind of camp... he's serviceable but if a young elc player has a bounce back season, it makes sense to shed some salary somewhere else out of the forward group...

Bjorkstrand $5.4m 27yrs old 28g 57pts fetched a 3rd & 4th. Peanuts.
Expectations for Garland is close to that. Says volumes for the trade market.

Better to eat Pearson then buyout next year if untradable without losing asset(s).
Cost is only $1.4m & $900k
