Watch Seattle take Hornqvist off their hands for a pick or 2.
For sh!ts n giggles, i'd be happy with that Ekblad kid.
Aaron Ekblad for JTM, Hoglander, Rathbone and DiPietro. - dbot
Hornqvist will be for free gauging by other cap dumps. Yotes? |

Oh I agree, RhD a see know are very much in demand. I suspect Huby signs in Calgary. Just my intuition, zero logic. - neem55
It’s at the point where older top players have to sign where the money is offered. Options are drying up fast these days. |

Another bold move by a team not named Vancouver.
Wow I expected and mentioned a good haul, but didn’t expect anything this good. Nevermind if one of or both don’t re-up, what they can get at trade deadline + prospect + 1st rd pick. This is the kind of thing I hoped for Canucks with new regime. Still … we wait. |

Miller is a better player than Tkachuk (and person), but one is 24 and the other is 29. Clearly Tkachuk had more value but I don’t get why he warrants double the return of miller |

All true. 24yrs old plays a big part in it. Still doesn't explain why Miller shouldn’t fetch a good haul. Nobody out there quite has his skill set. Kadri is close. |

Depends on if the UFA’s sign or what the haul in return is. A meh prospect & a 1st is from years away |

I would take that prospect that you call meh, anyway, over that meh prospect the Rangers supposedly offered(Lundkqvist).
I think Calgary got a player in Huberdeau, that will be much more appreciated by in Calgary, than he ever was in Florida.

hoperfully the NJD, NYR and even NYI teams are feeling aggrieved that no one wants to go there and circle back to JTM with better offers.

Pulling for the Canes to fully go all in & offer up for Miller. Patches the injury prone winger has KK an offensive black hole for a C. |

Depends on how Tanev recovers. You also lost your top line when Gaudreau left. Let me be the first to welcome you back to the bottom of the bubble with the obligatory suck it. - Load Management

Only thing on Tkachuks resume he wins on is age. Yet to prove he’s worth 9.5m beyond the regular season. That said not a C either.
The trade trees to come will be a better time to assess properly. |

Last season was the first year Miller played C. Miller has never done what Tkachuk has done, regular season. I mean, I don’t care for the guy, but come on. |

A center that put up 99 versus a winger that put up 104 🤷♂️ Plus we all know who is better in the room |

I think the panthers are looking at this as 24 year old Tkachuk over next 8 years vs 30 year old Huberdeau over next 8 years.
I’m surprised they also gave up Weegar too though, underrated player |

The Miller to NYI deal was closer to happening than people think it was and it didn’t fall apart because of a media leak.
