Agree on the potential difficulty resigning. At 29 it will be nearing Huberdeaus' last shot at a lucrative signing with some length.
With Lucic and Monys' contracts expiring we should be in a position to pay Huberdeau what he is worth.
I think the label " not a Sutter player" is some what over hyped. A big part of that philosophy involves puck possession. They can't score if they don't have the puck.
Huberdeau racked up 85 assists last year with a plus 35 and a career plus 41.
Those translate to strong puck possession numbers.
Huberdeau is a strong skater and with a little bit of Sutter "tweaking" will be a huge two way asset.
