Wasn't Tab Banford one of the many Hawk writers who emerged after the first Cup?
And didn't he call Dylan Olsen a future first pair defenders after that first Drfat Camp? - wiz1901
OMG, he couldn't cross over both ways either forward or backwards.
I am amazed to see his name. Garbage day today so last night one of the things I threw out was a Dylan Olsen stick with a broken blade. The stick was as long as Mario's.

My biggest concern is and will be, not signing any of these kids to a contract. - BetweenTheDots
Probably not going to be a problem.
The organization can argue that it removed the parts that were a problem and they've modernized it such that it should appeal to the young and upcoming player - both from a stand point of how player evaluations happen, trying to appeal to a new\younger\broader fan base and general protections for players and staff as it relates to matters of harassment.
Regardless of the political climate, Chicago is an incredible city that has an outstanding food scene, relatively inexpensive real estate (though the property taxes in cook county kind of suck), access to anywhere in the lower 48 and most of Europe via direct flight and the architecture has been wonderfully preserved and modernized where needed. The arts and entertainment scene is impressive as well only surpassed by Broadway and more because of name recognition rather than quality. The museums, especially the art institute are some of the best in the world.
For a professional athlete it is a major stage and has all of the amenities that someone in that someone with money to burn would want outside of the day to day.
Not sure why someone wouldn't want to play there regardless of the rebuild that is happening.

I would of thought by now Brisson would have engineered a Kane trade already. Offers must be really low. - LAHawk
Or he really wants to break some of the scoring records and skate 22 minutes \ night because that's all that's left on his career to do list.

I think this team has bad luck with guys named Dylan. KD, please avoid anyone with that name in the future

I hear you fatty, and hopefully they all sign like Vlasic and others did. |

Relax Dots. In addition to Vlasic, Mitchell, Barratt and Slavin are collegians who signed in the past couple of years. Before them, Sikura, Gilbert, Hayden to name a few. Guys like Hayes and Fox are the outliers, not the norm.

On any of the new Blackhawks,
You also have to remember if your first or second rounders are garbage, malcontents or unwilling to sign, the league gives you a second round compensatory pick like the one Mionny got when the poorly drafted a dud.
That was the pick the used on Rieger Lorentz at #56...
The pick comes before the team who is losing the assets draft in the second, and since we will. not be drafting in the bottom 16 for awhile, it will be a good pick in this new age of heavy scouting.
so if any of the Nazar (Michigan), Sam Rinzel (Univ. of Minnesota), Ryan Greene (Boston Univ.) decide they wanna pull a Kevin Hayes, they better improve by leaps and bounds and can make the Wild and Red Wing rosters...
I dunno, if I am one of them, I see pressure but not the kind you feel from attempting to make the roster of an established Cup challenging team . |

New blog! A perspective on what the rise up the rankings for NHL prospect systems means for the Blackhawks.
Is there more than just Lukas Reichel, Frank Nazar, Wyatt Kaiser, Kevin Korchinski, Drew Commesso, and Arvid Soderblom?
