Your dad the prior GM hindered the development of both Ivan and Sanheim, some may even say ruined, by throwing them to the wolves. At least Chuck did 1 right thing by recognizing this and acquired 2 good vets to help them along.
It was a good deal and funny you wont admit as much.
Draft and develop baby. Though lets keep all the good players and try to compete. That is a great strategy. - hello it's me 2050
At least you are consistent. |

Provy was certainly thrown to the wolves , Sanheim was sheltered a bit |

Neither had that solid/good vet to lean on to help them along. Who was Sanheims partners when he first arrived? I forget though it was not good.
Though some may argue Andy Mac was top pair legit dman. |

Provorov definitely was. Provorov had his best years though when Hextall was the GM. Including leading all defenseman in goals one season. Sanheim had his ups and downs but Hakstol did a nice job bringing him along. The one mistake was never giving Sanheim an opportunity on the PP and over relying on Provorov who was never really good on the PP. |

You have to consider what kind of person brings up a posters Mother or Father with no concern for what an individual is dealing with. A poster's parent could be sick or have recently passed away or some other issue. It's really a derelict thing to post and from a source that honestly has no sense whatsoever. The best thing to do is to ignore it and it will eventually go away

Eh, the resident geniuses would have another player to discuss. - Scoob
How many "resident geniuses" would have given a 4 year deal with a no trade clause to Nic Deslauriers? |

Provorov was very good in 17-18 with Ghost and in 19-20 with Niskanen. I don't think his level of play is GM-dependent. |

I would like to think none would, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Maybe it's silly to say the Weber deal would have been great, given what we know of Shea's health and the term. But damn it I loved it and wish a trade would have happened. How often can you build around one of the top four or five #1 dmen in the league, one who is a 10 defensively and offensively? I think we might have won a cup with him. And so he'd be on LTIR now, so what.
So yeah, no question I wish a trade had happened, or no match on the offer sheet. |

Is today July 25, 2022 and Chuck Fletcher is the worst GM in the world? |

I think no also, but for entertainment purposes, I am ready for popcorn if someone says yes. They will be baled and fired into the sun.

We actually don't even know that. Circumstances would have changed and maybe he doesn't get hurt. Ya never know. Either way, I still remember the day like it was yesterday and I was so excited because there was NO WAY Nashville could match that offer right?

NHL power rankings out and Flyers are 31 only Chicago worse. Never thought I would see the day the Flyers would be such a bottom feeder. That's hard to do while maxing out your cap space |

Interesting on NHL Radio on Sirius/XM. The PowerPlay finally got to Chuck Fletcher and the Flyers. A big fat “F” and they had nothing good to say. Just pointed out the many contradictions and said it’s obvious the people in charge has no plan and Flyers seem to be satisfied competing for 11th place. These are good hockey commentators. Seems like they read our posts… oh wait, the Flyers think the fans are stupid. |

Well they did release a Gritty mobile app this year. Are you not entertained?
It does seem at times they care more about marketing Gritty than fielding a competent team.

So intead of trading him anywhere for a 4th rounder the NTC limits to 10 teams probably lowering the return to a 5th rounder
