No, and screw your rankings. Plus, Calgary's D was completely exposed by the Oilers in the playoffs. The addition of Weegar will help a bit, but not drastically. Nice trade by Trev for sure, but at the end of the day, the Flames are still worse than last years team. Land Kadri, or make another big move, then things look good. Nurse isn't worth the money, but he's a really solid player to have. Time will tell how badly over paid he is, I think it wont be as bad as some people think.

Just read it. He also said that there is a potential that it wont be that bad. I agree its an overpayment, time will tell by how much. Plus, he would beat the s hit out of all of the D you mentioned. That's a plus in my book.

In other fun news according to Toronto media Mathews 60 goals is better than having both McDavid and Draisaitl on ones team. Also McDavid has already won two Heart trophies and the voters of said award take that into account when voting. So essentially they over looked McDavid because he already won twice and therefore it was Matthews turn to win.

I'd have Tanev way higher on that list, he is exactly the type of D the Oil need right now. As much as Nurse's contract will be the focal point of my ire this season, there is no way I would have him ranked below Hannefin. With your surplus of D, you guys should trade us Weegar, what you really need right now is a Foegele to replace a Johnny.

Much better goalie overall Benning saw this. And won't be a PO choker like Luongo/Markstrom.

I just like the roster under Boudreau. 668% winning percentage speaks for itself. that's a 106 point pace for the season. Plus they improved with Mikheyev and Lazar. Just need a RHD and all good for the year.

Still think the nucks are a year away. may sneak in a year early, but they're on the right trajectory. Flames seemed to be the opposite way until that Tkachuk deal. Not sure what to think of them currently, they could be a fun team to play against, or a team you don't want to play against. Their backend is deep, but I don't know about their top end.

If they can avoid the injury bug they'll make it in but won't go very far. Not alot of PO depth there but every year is another step forward. There are good things coming with this club.
