I just read about Bobby Ryan relapsing and being arrested at an airport. Pretty disheartening, but hopefully he can get his life back on track again.

Growing up my mom loved scrabble so we played it a lot. Grandparents cribbage & bridge. I found scrabble helped me for vocabulary & scoring to compete. Cribbage an affinity for numbers & very basic skills to build on that helped me immensely moving on towards school & adulthood. Confidence in both were the 2 basic building blocks for all other courses.

I grew up playing lots of scrabble. You and wifey need to come over for a match sometime lol!

So do we need the express written consent of every parent for the subject matter taught? Aren't kids learning these thing because of their peers and their parents?

I find it comforting that my 13 year old kid is accepting of all the genders and pronouns. She's far more accepting than I am so that means we're evolving. Even then, she has ideas about what is real and what is a plea for attention.

Maybe your kids would benefit from a more open minded environment? Reformation hasn't been very effective.

I remember them talking about cap, defense, young players added, coaching strategies like break outs, sand paper, and a few other things... balancing the forward group, never. It seemed like the least of this teams problems.

Sure doesn't sound like they are moving Miller by this statement.... or else they wouldn't know the state of their forward core in the season ahead...

Not sure adding 4rth line sand paper will go too far in increasing team toughness... minimal ice time, so....

I think they’re willing to trade him but they’re not budging from their asking price. Which is fine, for now. TDL…different ball game.

According to Rutherford, Mike Yeo was Bruce's idea and it was important to Patrick and Rutherford to let him have his own guy. #canucks

According to Rutherford, the big question mark is Poolman, when he's playing without any injuries he can play in our top 4. Also mention Rathbone needs to have a good year. He's optimistic if they all stay healthy on the back end they can make the playoffs. #canucks

Certainly got better depth & components in that direction.

According to Rutherford on Klingberg, we were not in a position to go after a player like that - but looking for a right shot D would be ideal right now. Our defense right now is good enough to win but there's questions there. #canucks

Benning's roster more or less.

"If they all stay healthy" Wow, when people say this, the usual suspects spring up going on about excuses already in place. When this team fails and injuries are brough up... again "excuses".

The exciting new direction...

Rutherford says he rather not give up "young assets" to create cap space. Didn't rule out older assets if he has to.

Rutherford says he really likes Vancouver because of the passion - passion of the media, passion of the fans. There's great pride there. there's frustration, of course, because it's a franchise that's been in the league a long time and hasn't won a cup.

According to Rutherford they do the eye test with their scouts and also check the analytics.

When the two don't mesh and there's a big difference between the two, they have to figure out why. But he doesn't make his final decisions using analytics.

Moving cap has proven to be expensive this offseason so I understand that not answered. An ongoing challenge that’ll have to wait til maybe the TDL.

Miky & Kuz make us younger & has added better team D. Lazar & Miky help the PK.

Training camp should install better strategies eg breakout etc.

Overall lots is riding on BB & a full season including training camp & on the kids to take their game to another level.

I'm genuinely curious what you think the danger is? Like what specifically makes you so fired up about that situation?
- NorthNuck

I don't want to get too deep into it, but I learned later through a sympathetic board member who advocated for me that the child in question has groped several girls (thankfully not my daughter) while using the girls washrooms. That's my main concern, that biological males should not occupy or share female only bathrooms and change rooms. There should be a unisex one for them that they can use that is stated as such so everyone is aware and can make their own choice.

Rutherford on Rathbone: He deserves the opportunity to be in Vancouver this year.

Rutherford on Poolman: There's question marks around his health and that's going to be something we're going to have to watch.
