Seems like more of a retool than anything in LA. They've had some younger guys on the blue line emerge but most of their key players are approaching 30 (or past it).

The Hawks are going hardcore and starting from scratch.

BUT - if we play that game for a second. Assuming the learning curve is about two years in the NHL regardless of time spent in the minors (because generally speaking it is).

Say Korchinski pecker smacks the WHL and is like I dunno a top 10 scorer so they kind of have to promote him next season and by his second NHL year he's getting a feel for it.

And Nazar spends 2 years in college but comes out of there on fire and puts up 50ish points his rookie year.

This also assumes Reichel is at least the calibre player of TT in the next 2-3 years.

One of the second or third round picks is a Dave Bolland \ Andrew Shaw type.

Annnnnd they win the lottery and find some gem in the last first in next years draft.

So if they have something like

Decent player - Nazar - Reichel
Savoie for arguments sake - Toews - knuckle dragger

Not to sound like a Toews hater but I still don't buy that narrative he was always against other top lines.... that same reasoning was used to bolster Bolland and Kruger's standing as top shutdown guys.

Plus the best centers in the league always go against each other. I don't hear that excuse for Kopitar or Bergeron, etc. Toews was a beast for a good 6-7 year stretch and then he really started to decline. You can only outwork other players for so long.

Please post where it says you can not say gay in any law or policy in Florida? Its not real, like many assumptions people make. You are free to believe what you wish. Just not supported by facts. What the law says is that teachers should teach math and reading and other subjects to help children develop their potential. No sane person wants their 5 and 6 year old's being encouraged to explore their sexuality in a school setting. We don't need our children groomed we need them to be able to read and write.

Many people disagree and realize that COVID theater is/was just that, theater. NO SCIENCE - JUST FOLLOW EXPERTS MASS FORMATION PYCHOSIS. Don't believe me, read Dr. Birx book. Look at Fauci's pivots over the years. They made it up as they went along. Not a shocker to most people. A disproportionate response to a real issue. Thank God I live in Florida. The last thing I wanna post about but feel the need to share. The wife told me this morning her bud from work has a grandma in an old folks home in Joliet and the families were informed yesterday due to a sharp rise in Covid there will be no visitors allowed until further notice.

No reason to tag you Grit, or compare Illinois with confederate FloridaStan, except people in charge of seniors, and yes maybe with consultation of their lawyers, aren't allowing anyone on premises that isn't essential at an old folks home.

My mother-in-law has a caretaker come to her house during the week for 8 hrs. Today makes the 3rd different caretaker she's had in a week. A supervisor came with her to make sure she's up to date on my MIL and the wife asked what's goin on? The company has had a run of covid thru the seniority list and supervisors are working to cover the shortage.

As far as the interview with Go Johhny Go IMO it was the clearest thinking I've heard him in awhile. No sniveling or bad attitude just some sober answers.

I get the feeling this is as healthy as he's been in a long time especially when he says things like the joy of the game. ....... Assuming he plays a solid 2 way game and paces at 55ish points I see him signing a 3-4 yr deal as a middle 6 center with a MN, BOS or even a CLB or SEA that is a good hockey town with a chance to win and going to the arena is not a chore.

Guy has 3 cups nd although I'm sure he'd love another I don't see him chasing with 1 yr deals going from team to team. Just playing on a good team with a chance to win in full arenas will be all he needs to find the love of the sport again.
