Not sure if it's been brought up but any way we can get rid of Hunt to sign Motte? Motte is the bottom 6 player this team needs and if Hunt is around GG might be stupid enough to keep trying and giving him top 6 mins.

Unfortunately they seem to like Hunt. I think he will be around come training camp.

Hunt is making 762k, not a big cap hit. They like him as bottom six option. Unsure they go that route

If getting rid of his contract was truly a solution to clearing up space for Motte then the whole "he's a good bottom six option" logic goes out the window because Motte is a way better option. If we need more space than what Hunt would give us then I guess it makes sense because you can plug in Hunt, even though I hate him, at a very cheap cap hit
I disagree. All it does is lengthen the lineup. Id rather keep Laf where he is comfortable rather than make him a RW. He has plenty of time to be “the guy”
And the playoff success cannot be forgotten. We’ve waited 3 years for Chytil to finally do something and he did, but he did it with Laf. I’m not breaking that up, or Zib and Kreider for that matter
And again, I bring this up all the time…it may be wise to keep Lafs production down anyway with his looming raise on the horizon. They have other players who can be top 6
These are the 3 pairs that should stay together imo, and figure out the RWs
Zib Kreider
Trocheck Panarin
Chytil Laf
The RWs for them are Kakko, Kravtsov and Blais, who goes where is up for debate. Possibly Cuylle included, with Blais and Goodrow on line 4. But regardless, that’s 3 very good deep scoring lines.

I see your points, but just rather get Laf going this year. Big minutes for him will be key. If he plays with chytl all year on the 3rd line he is not cracking 40 points and this team will struggle to make the playoffs. Kreider isnt scoring 50 again this year. Some of his goal share has to go to laf, kakko etc
