It’s 6.9lbs and it’s a neck through build. Small body and no headstock. And it’s perfectly balanced. So you can see the maple continue through the body and the walnut wings are glued on. You get amazing resonance and tone from a neck thru construction. Also, the neck is a 5 piece, with 2 graphite truss rods and double stressed to get the moisture out so the neck won’t move for the touring musician. It’s a professional axe and sounds unreal.
I can give you free guitar lessons too my man. All you have to do is ask. |

drop down tuning is one string tuned lower than normal? or more than just one string is tuned lower?
i've always wondered what that term really means. |

That’s “Drop D” tuning where you tune only the thickest string (Low E - or top string) down a whole step to make a standard tuned guitar sound heavy.
Now tuning your whole guitar down a half step, full step, 2 steps etc ……requires all of the string be tuned down accordingly. You can still strum and play all of your open and fretted chords, but the guitar itself E will not be in standard 440 concert pitch tuning. But each string is tuned down accordingly like it’s still in standard but lower across the board. Your guit also has to be set up for this, intonated, action and neck relief.
EDIT: Drop D = Outshined
Full down tuning = Limo Wreck
Hope that sorts things out for you brother. |
