It would be a veteran partner for Rathbone on the bottom pair, could probably play up sometimes during injury. - neem55
He's quality D depth that can play up the lineup. I'm not sure 1M get it done but I'd sign him for the year if it did.

If not PK, something along that line.

I bet there would be more competitive teams that could do that same deal, giving him a better opportunity. You probably need to go 4 years @ $3m per to get the leadership and experience he brings. |

I don't think I would want 4 years at $3M. |

I mean 2 years isn't terrible, but really what is the cost? |

I’d offer him a shot to be a leader in ABby. He seems like a horrible fit |

2 years, $1.95?
If you wanted to put him on waivers it would cost you about $700k against the cap, if nobody claimed him. Or he might retire rather than go to the AHL.
Is he worse than Poolman? Maybe, I guess. Can’t say I’ve watched play in a few years really. |

More fringe players that can’t play defense. Sure I guess |

If it's 1M he's worth it for sure for 1 year, at worst he's your 7th dman |

Yeah, seems silly to keep going down that road.
I’d prefer the do nothing and let contracts expire, or move them better yet.
But the question was asked what he’s worth. Without checking JFresh or Dom L my guess is sub $2m |

PK plays D probably better now than for most of his career. Still produces above average offensively. Even on a low cost deal I think 2 years is fine. With Hughes and his partner being Rathbone I think he'd be fine. |

He’d only have to deliver one giant hip check to get the fans on board. |

He's not soft but he can play pretty dirty. That might bite us in the ass at some point. Still, Neem said 1yr/1M. I'd to that in a heartbeat. |

We have a stranglehold on all of the bottom pair D men In the league. Let’s add a few more and make other GM’s furious. Seriously though, don’t see PK being a good match for Rathbone. Needs a partner like Schenn |

What about PK and OEL ?
Edit: I don't think you want any of the three playing every night, probably not Rathbone either.
You're graduating one D to the NHL, can't really count on another. |

OEL - Myers
Hughes - Schenn
Rathbone - Dermott
KB/ Poolman
KB Is a perfect number 7. Problem is we have 5 bottom pairing defensmen. What’s the point of adding another? May as well not waste what cap space we clearly don’t even have. What this team needs is a legit top 4 RHD and then they would be likely league average. It’s not something we can address without a trade.

I know he’s had some bad injury luck but maybe Brady Keeper could surprise at camp? |
