OEL - Myers
Hughes - Schenn
Rathbone - Dermott
KB/ Poolman
KB Is a perfect number 7. Problem is we have 5 bottom pairing defensmen. What’s the point of adding another? May as well not waste what cap space we clearly don’t even have. What this team needs is a legit top 4 RHD and then they would be likely league average. It’s not something we can address without a trade. - CanuckDon
Kinda what management has been saying all along. Unless you're as dumb as Booner, then they're saying something entirely different. |

You did see Schenn in the top 4 there did you? That's 3 slots too high on many nights, 2 on others.
I don't have issues so much with PK fitting into the lineup as I do with him fitting into the dressing room. He's a big personality. |

Miller could keep him in-line but he is likely gone soon. Bo and PK wouldn’t work |

So a 1 year deal is fine. You could trade Schenn for good value on that vet minimum deal. Probably to the team that drafted him. |

I'm still not sold on Subban at any price. He's had his day. I don't think he upgrades the top 4. So I'd still take Burroughs. Save the mil and see what happens when other teams start having to make decisions. |

I think it’s an Uncle Lou ploy going on for a Kadri. Close to the vest as usual.
@Vintsy last blog
Ya I think the Canucks are on the outside looking in for the PO’s. That’s just my early take. They can make the PO’s but it’ll take a few things to happen. A good start & a PK that is not horrible again. The kids MUST be the force & come out rockin n ready. The D just simply be smarter & smoother & F’s better at support. |

A top 4 RHD would be nice. Poolman is not a top 4 guy lol
Looks like D!cckenson will stick as 3LC for now? Had a rough go with injuries last season.
Top 9 looks solid with Miller returning and Mikheyev/Kuz in there.
Lazar as 4LC looks good.
Only a few holes to fill...
- LordHumungous
Poolman need only be steadier especially improve on breakouts.
Dlcky will be motivated to prove last season was a blip on the radar.
Top 9 more depth & diversity will be the strength & counted on.
Lazar a very good fit.
If all goes as above then at the least a better performance but for the PO’s it will take the team pulling together right outta the gate. |

He's 33 years old. Just finished the last year of his contract for a $9M cap hit. HE may not be worth anything near that but he's better than any one in our bottom 3. |

Hmm interesting! Ive been expectimg it to be through a Garland or Miller trade, could still see it happenening before the season. I think he thought they would have got one by now, but the market is tough. - neem55

Yup status quo looks more likely. Have to pin our hopes on them playing better. Doable & interesting to see how training camp goes & coaches a fresh start to set up systems. |

Saw a comment that was funny/sad/true all at the same time. The Canucks traded a 1st for JT Miller. Obviously a home run trade. Braden Schneider was available to draft with that pick. And yet the Canucks apparently couldn't get Schneider in return for Miller at the TDL

Yes, I have been trying to explain thos type of stuff to the masses, Schneider was one example and Barron was another.
My problem is I rate defensemen extremely high, especially good ones, and moreso if they are right handed.
I had been on the Jiricek and Nemec train for about 2 years before the draft and got told neither are a top 10 pick.
Several on here laughed about me liking Kaiden Guhle, ffs build from defense, goalie included, out.
Lol. But wtf do i know. |

Benning could have really used your expertise. Did you not put your resume in. If not this whole situation we are in is kinda your fault.

Patience was a 4 letter word for JB &co. Drafting D high was the casualty especially after trading 2nds. |

Yes, I did actually send in a resume to them, but they responded that I have no experience.
I replied, so I should fit right in. |

As always it's a good start and having the depth for injuries. Depth is something we don't really have for that lol. Poolman is not top 4 material and I do think D!cki will bounce back a bit under Boudreau. Good skater and has the ability to be a good 3LC if healthy. Lazar is great but the RHD could be the nemesis for a bit. |

3 teams in 6 seasons. Talk out of MTL was they couldn't stand him in the room and when he wasn't named captain after donating millions to the children's hospital in MTL
(a good cause) he was quite pissed he didn't get the 'C'.
And since his first season in NSH he's been remarkably mediocre. May as well have kept Edler at those numbers lol |
