8 years of holding patterns and quick fixes and no real plan except a plan that even Benning didn't know about will do that to the fanbase. The fact that we have more of the same (at least for now) doesn't help things. This team isn't going very far until Pearson, Myers, OEL and Miller are gone and we have more cap space and a better prospect depth to replace them. That's unfortunately going to take at least 4-5 years.

I’m not sure. I really liked Tanev when he was here, but he’s going to start slowing down this year or next. I like Schenn, he makes smart plays but is too slow to be a top 4 guy. Was hoping for Marino or Weegar but those ships sailed.

We need guys 24-27ish that are quicker and fit in well with this team moving forward.

OMG you are such a meathead!! There’s 14 teams with better top nines than Vancouver. Just look at the top four in every division, including ours.

True on some counts. However Benning's excellent drafting started to yield results under Boudreau at a .668% winning clip. This is where we are at. Miller fantastic aquisition. With Miller Horvat Pettersson Boeser Garland Pods MikHeyev Kuz that's a great core to start. Plus Hughes on the back end. D needs work yes but it will come. Demmer on point. Benning ( a good Hockey man) will be owed many apologies. Don't expaect FA to do a 'tear down any time soon lol. TSN even commented the other day on Overdrive that Van's top 9 forwward group is looking like top 10 material in the league. Not wrong. I've had a few predictions come true...
