Why so much hate on the red helmets from the Mafia? I thought it looked great.

Bills were selling an awesome metallic blue helmet at TC. I hope they go with those.

Quinn came and got hurt, JJ didn't look the part when he was here for his game. UPL also got hurt.

Between that and having to many 1 way guys there wasn't much opportunity to come up full time. Had UPL and Quinn not gotten hurt, I believe they would been up till the AHL playoff cutoff.

There were constant opportunities. On merit, they certainly deserved more. With Quinn and JJ, they clearly wanted to slide their contracts. Houser and Dell were up several times down the stretch to backup. They prioritized Roch over NHL experience.

This isn't really about the past. It was in the context of how they might handle Savoie. Covid + his older age for his draft year allowed Quinn 2 years in the AHL, Savoie won't be allowed either year. It's an interesting topic, even if it's a year away.

Agree with you on cozens. He just doesn’t have the god given offensive talent. That doesn’t mean he sucks just limited.

2nd line center. 50-60 points a year

- Sabretooth9

Almost think mitts is gonna have more points then cozens, if they both stay healthy and play a similar amount of games.

Intangibles galore for cozens, but the scoring touch worries me slightly.
Mitts should just put up points ....

It's easy to forget that Cozens is only 7 months older than Quinn.
- Lunaion

I get that …. I just don’t see cozens as a high end talented player.

Bruins Interested in Lucic?
Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now writes that the Bruins could potentially be interested in a reunion with forward Milan Lucic. The winger is in the last year of his deal and his contract carries a $6 million salary cap hit. Murphy cites a source who claims that Calgary Flames GM Brad Treliving could be willing to retain some salary if the ‘Bruins sweetened the deal.’

Reminder: Performance bonuses do not count against the teams salary cap unless they are earned.

If the team does not have enough cap space at the end of the season to cover the earned bonuses, the difference is applied the following season as a bonus overage penalty.

Same amount of goals last year, and Crouse is younger, better defensively.

In general, 1 or 2 year deals are never value contracts. You give up risk on short term deals so by extension you give up value.

Assuming you mean this for RFA's, and not UFA's?

olofsson played with 1 arm for half the year

crouse has 1 more nhl goal in twice as many nhl games

at both their prices, I would take olofsson for 2 years over crouse at that price for 5 years

I get liking olofsson more for sure, but it's hard for me to call that better value. Like if you want to keep him, and think highly of him (especially if you expect numbers to go up from being healthy), then you'd want him locked up for term. Cause if it goes the way you think it will, then youre probably overpaying to retain when hes a pending UFA, or you get priced out.

Well, yes and no. I suppose it depends on what your organizational goals are.
