I can’t imagine too many of the vets will e en play a preseason game.

Like allen should be in shorts and a t shirt on the side lines all month long

That guy is barely an AHL player. Why would he even be up with the Sabres?

But why? Who is taking his place, and not playing? Is 8D important to you?

Interesting.
Waiving Bjork to the AHL, the Sabres gain Cap Relief of $1.125m of his $1.6m Cap Hit.

At their current Cap amount of $62.896, it would bring their Cap amount down to $61.771m.
Adding Peterka's Cap Hit of $856k, brings them back up to $62.627.

Hmmmm, maybe just maybe that FO has a clue of what they are doing.

For reference, the 13th and range, Sabres forwards in terms of games played last year were Krebs at 48 and Mitts at 40 so the extras will play some

It's like the brass forgot injuries happen. This is the part of the lackluster, not spending, off-season that has irked me.

Have Quinn and JPP in the AHL, sign two players in that 5 to 6 mil range, and you know have nhl capable players players on ELC ready to plug in. I remember the last time they did that.....

The mullet might be 5% better than the next guy in faceoff winning percentage.
Having him kill you for the entire game is not nearly worth it.

Can they sign him for just the games they play VGK? The roll of the neck was priceless

The Brett Murrays of the world are the guys that you "plug in" when someone is injured. We are trying to prepare Quinn and Paterka for the big leagues - they need to play.

They could have him standing next to Subban as he sings the anthem. He could look up at the flags and quietly roll his neck back and forth.

That's the entire point of having guys like Murray, Malone, etc in Roch. They probably aren't ever going to be NHLers but they are fine for callups. Again, our goal is to play the real prospects.

Flip side. Bjork is on a 1-way deal, so they'll pay him either way. ELC's are 2-way. Sending Bjork down would cost them real $. Stadiums aren't cheap.

If they didn't want Bjork around, they should have bought him out. It would have been extremely cheap.
