Number 2 (Zellweger) and number 15 (Scott Morrow) on that list hurt as I was hoping against hope that they'd draft one of the two of them with their first 2nd round pick in the 2021 draft.

My guess is they prepared for a situation that happened and the analytics guys said no bad idea. Adams said they depended on analytics a lot during the draft.

If you are the Sabres and had countless mock draft simulations (Adams mentioned that)….. trading up to get a player had to have been talked about in some way shape or form.

Sounds like if the Murray trade went through, a likely possibility could have been Kasper at 7 for the Sabres, Lekkerimaki at 8 (been mentioned that Y loved him), then Savoie at 9. Adding Kulich at 28 to complete the bonanza.

It’s hilarious to me that people still hate Bjork and rather have Murray fill in if needed. Murray is terrible. Bjork isn’t as bad as people make him out to be. 3rd 4th line guy. He’s fine for what he does

Eye Test: I thought he did his job fine and he fell off towards the end. I liked his presence but started to get a little annoyed at the lapses.

Analytics: He hurt the team while on offense and on the PK. He was barely a plus player on defense. Overall, he was a net negative. Bjork hurt the team more though. CF played about 600 minutes against bottom third comp and Bjork played about 700 minutes against absolute bottom comp. Fitz was better.
