Why doesn’t it make sense exactly?

It’s pretty simple. You sign a good player to a rehab deal, retain half at the deadline if you’re eliminated and get a good asset back

And you can’t use the lame bogus growing prospects excuse here as we have no RD in the system and it’s an actual need.

- sbroads24

Sure, you're right. The difference here is that we aren't taking a flyer on some guy that was broken down and needs to be rehabilitated. The guy signed for 7 mill. So lets say that he both plays well and doesn't get hurt (neither being a guarantee) and we sell at the deadline for half retained. You would have now paid 5 - 6 mill for a 2nd rounder (again, assuming he is healthy and decent). How many owners would take that gamble with the best-case scenario a second rounder?

Also, do we know for sure that we didn't talk to him?

I think Dallas is another team that is stuck in the middle. They have some aging vets and they figure they will take one last stab at it by throwing in another vet. Being in the middle is the worst, I think.

It depends where you are on the realm of suck. We have sucked for more than a decade but today feels 1,000 times better than it did when Darcy told us the pain was coming. People laugh at the hope meter but it does matter.

I also remember what it was like to have a middling roster and all of the years where we finished a few spots out of the playoffs. I'd rather watch the kids play than that roster.

I think the difference is that we got Hall thinking that 1) we were a playoff team and 2) we would be extending him

Gave up my 4 season tickets after 47yrs, I am not paying PSL's. I think my family has paid there dues on a new Stadium. F@ck Them!!
- Buff36

I am sorry you are giving up your seats. PSLs are a way of life in the nfl for funding the new stadium.

It should have been expected. Again it’s not fair but expected

Flip side. Bjork is on a 1-way deal, so they'll pay him either way. ELC's are 2-way. Sending Bjork down would cost them real $. Stadiums aren't cheap.

- Lunaion

Sending Bjork down would reduce his cap hit
But you’re correct that he’ll get the same real world $$$ either way

Idk why ppl are worried about Bjork though
He’ll rarely play for us & will be here as an extra practice body & Cap hit

We have no need for a RH “offensive” defenseman who’s not particularly good in his own end

They can always call up someone else, when needed. That costs $ though, so you're right.

No he won't. He barely saw the ice the second half of last year - this year is going to be worse for him.

Are they supposed to have 60pt players as the 14th forward?

The “extra” forwards last year (Hayden and Cagguila) were lineup regulars because of injuries last year

Same will happen with Bjork

I meant the football stadium, but the arena is problem as well.
- Lunaion

I think part of the long term rebuild aligns with asking for a new arena downtown. Probably 2 or 3 years.

They are testing the market, or were at one point.
Spending $ on studies ect.

I don't understand why they let the current arena decay so badly. Probably as simple as politics and $.

Well it is when I might be paying a extra 4 to 6 grand just to get my seats. Hey enjoy and have fun, I have for a lot of years. But I can use that money other places.
