if I may...
I think both sides have their own realities. it's undeniable that the habs do have a glorious past that still has an impact today and makes the organization special not only for fans but also historically for Quebecers in general, but on the other hand I wouldn't expect fans of other teams to give a single (frank) about any of it lol. |

depends on who's talking, for some people who struggle really hard with pronunciation I think I'd rather have them use the more english-friendly "Quebecers" loll

ohh that's totally fine, don't get me wrong I'll always respect someone who is actually trying. but since I'm bilingual, I don't mind either if we use a language that we're actually both comfortable with. |

There's a lot of truth in that ... the Habs are part of the fabric of Quebec's history.
Before the " Révolution Tranquille" in the 60's, Quebecers pretty much only had the Habs to proclaim their own distinctiveness and pride.
All commerce was controlled by anglo canadians and french canadians were subjugated (controlled) by the Catholic Chuch. French Canadians were treated as the white n*ggers of North America.
Je me souviens on our license plate means ... remember where we came from and never forget who we are ...
While it's not what it once was, this is why the Habs have such a cultural influence in Québec.

really eh..? do people in Spain speak more french than english as a second language? it would make sense, since both languages have latin roots...
also, are you perfectly bilingual (english and french)? I thought you were an anglophone that understood a bit of french lol |

yeah I think it's kinda like with the queen, people are slowly realizing that the pope isn't that important, and that life can go on without him lol

They had no idea what the (frank) was saying
Not perfect. Can speak, read and listen, but my written is pretty bad. That's english school spending more time conjugating verbs than anything else |

that's cool. I wouldn't worry too much about the written part to be honest, it's insane how so many francophones massacre their own language and struggle to write a single sentence without making a mistake.. sometimes I wonder if they're doing it on purpose.
