1st mistake Romanov makes Z is in the lineup for good.

I haven’t any idea why anyone would want that pilon back in the lineup again with him a year older to boot. The guy is done not really sure how much more proof everyone needs? |

I can live with it if Z was treated as a 7th dman alone and played very sparingly. Isles have not shown they can do this though.

This is true. Just going on the past and Isles coaches really favoring the vets. |

The guy is never going to play as a true 7th defenseman on our team or any other team. He’ll wind up back with us and he’s going to suck even worse then he did last season. |

Do not worry Cpt. I'll talk to Lou like I did Ledecky.

Tell him the entire world knows he has been trying to unload salary and he’s stupid to think him keeping things quiet has any benefit whatsoever. |

Lou is a champ at pacing himself. - ses111
Pacing your self is one thing. Lou has paced himself soo slow that he is now moving backwards.

A fair few “rumours” saying the Kadri deal will be 4 years or less.
If that’s true, then I guess we could stomach it. But even then… - Wildschwein
If it’s four years or less it’s a home run as long as it’s not more then 6 million a year. I say that knowing it’s more then that |

Love how the Isles (Lou) are always in stealth mode. In on more players than people realize. Showed significant interest in Matthew Tkachuk too. #Isles - eichiefs9

This had to have helped. Still very bizarre Isles missed out to Columbus on this one. - ses111
They were going to miss out to Jersey if it wasn't Columbus. |

I saw 7 per year. 4 years sounds right since I saw between 3-5. |

Maybe JG's reason for not coming to the Islanders was as simple as he and his girl didn't want to live on LI???? |

Where does Kadri play? Who gets bumped to wing? Barzal, Nelson, or Pageau? |

NHL Network has Nelson being moved to the wing as the most logical choice. First, we need to see who gets moved if in fact this signing is legitimate.

I highly doubt either Barzal or Nelson gets moved so the question remains. I would try moving Pageau to wing and Nelson to center the third line in an attempt to expand our scoring depth. After Nelson’s season I can’t see moving him to the wing. I know some on here are thinking Barzal to the wing for defensive reasons but I’m not big on that idea. I don’t think lambert is going to do that either. |

You can't really do this. This is if Kadri gets signed, I'm assuming. We would need to see who gets shipped out before trying to figure out who gets moved. But, to play along I think Nelson moving to left wing would make the most sense since he's played there before.
So I'm thinking lines like this (not knowing who is getting traded).
Lee-Barzal-Palms
Nelly-Kadri-Wally
Beau-JGP-Bailey
Martin-Zeeker-Clutz
With Parise & maybe Bellows as your spares. |
