Not sure Bailey and his chains are highly sought after unfortunately.
- kindlyrick

At least you can scrap the metal from his chains to make some money, that's gotta be worth something

Its not about caring, it baffles me. For a team with zero defense, they didnt draft a single dmen i believe. Somehow Dubas still has a job
- kindlyrick

They love Dubas over there. Think he’s just great.

Bottom line, when I talk to my buddies from Toronto who are leafs fans, after a couple of drinks they ALL admit it was bushleague how he left. There’s really no argument.

50 million dollar PP with no defense and sub par goaltending = first round exits thrice

- kindlyrick

And personally, I think their goaltending got worse with the addition of Murray and Samsonov. I think Campbell/Mrazek were a better combo. Of course, I've always thought Campbell pretty much always sucked. Going all the way back to his AHL days with Ontario.

Meh, not really. I mean, now, yeah they like him. The new season is right around the corner and they're planning the parade route. They were none too pleased with him right after they got knocked out.........again.

It didn’t take long till they were blaming having to face Tampa in the first round and how their team could’ve beat anyone else besides them

Yeah its really just a weird make up. Most teams build from the goalie out. They're literally built for the PP

He’s just as credible as anyone else when it comes to info in relation to Lameriello.

They’re hoping Murray suddenly turns into a good goalie again like he was five years ago for two months.

Its really very Snow like......same lineup, and expecting a different result. You can't win games 6-5 and be successful.

It's a funny mistake because you meant President's Trophy but the President's Cup is a golf tournament so it still works

Well, this article is from July 2nd. They've already addressed the top-4 defenseman with Romanov.
Only God and Lou know what Lou is working on. For all we know, right now he's working on his 5th margarita.

Yeah for sure, but I took from it that other teams have leaked that he's shopping Bailey, or its all just BS. Either way, it would be the absolute ideal move to rid the contracts of Bailey, and Varly to address needs.

Definitely agree with Bailey getting moved. I kind of agree with moving Varly's contract. My only concern is who would back up Sorokin? Holtby? Another UFA for around $1.5m for a couple years? Btw, I'm not sure what other goalies are UFA's.

We could bring back Chris Gibson or sign the Hamburglar

Yeah i mean im not a guru on who's available, i just know they're paying 2 goalies 5 million, and this should be Sorokins year. I woulda been happy with Sorokin and Greiss at 1.5 backing him up

Braden Holtby would be a cheaper back up if Varlamov is dealt . Holtby can win some games still as a back up.

His career is pretty much over. He is out next season with an injury. Don’t think he is ever coming back

Frank Seravalli via DFO Rundown says that if any contract is going to be moved for the Islanders to fit Nazem Kadri, it's Anthony Beauvillier

In a perfect world, Bailey is moved, but if you're a GM, you always shoot for the stars, and I dont think Bailey gets you to that elite winger that the isles have needed for too long.

I think Beauvillier could interest some teams, as he's young and has upside.

- kindlyrick

Rid Bailey's 5 Mill would be a blessing, ie Ladd. I would move Beau as well, it's time and he can get some return.
