True, but I thought it interesting that there are multiple teams (if the rumour is true) wanting to sign him. I thought his brand is now toxic. But I guess the there are teams willing to give someone second, third, and fourth chances.

Evander is a far better player than Jake is. I remember the heat he got from his performance on the junior team. He’s got some tools but doesn’t have the tool box to carry those tools.

I just miss those Odd-man rushes on zone entry when JV would head to the bench for a change. Excellent Hockey IQ.

My 2 thoughts on that…

1st off he was too immature & was rushed into the league.
2nd he just didn’t get it & take it serious enough after given chances.

In the end a fresh start here at low show me is ok if the F logjam were to change. As for the media scrutiny in Canada & avoiding it doesn’t show to me he has the full commitment to be a pro. Hiding in the USA doesn’t show personal growth.
