yeah, I don't really understand this point of view, you're saying this as though he had an actually interesting roster to work with and hadn't lost any important pieces, while what was being put out on the ice was barely NHL calibre... even Scotty Bowman or Toe Blake wouldn't have won in that context. oh well, he's gone now so I guess you can sleep soundly, his awful coaching ways won't haunt you anymore loll

He could have had eighteen all stars and he still would have misplayed them. Good coaches find a way to get the best out of their players, he didn't . Its why when St.Louis took over there was such a drastic change. Still the same "bad" players, but no longer a coach like him. The math adds up in my eyes. But I do in fact sleep more soundly with him no longer close to this team. Im a Habs fan living in Toronto, I don't get peace of mind here often.

Its why when St.Louis took over there was such a drastic change. Still the same "bad" players, but no longer a coach like him. The math adds up in my eyes. I find you're greatly exaggerating Ducharme's flaws, while also perhaps overestimating St-Louis' impact on the team, of course they started playing better when he was hired but that is usually to be expected with a coaching change, and it wasn't all that miraculous either, in the end he managed to get only 14 wins to finish the season. anyway we obviously have very different perspectives on this, let bygones be bygones.
