I find you're greatly exaggerating Ducharme's flaws, while also perhaps overestimating St-Louis' impact on the team, of course they started playing better when he was hired but that is usually to be expected with a coaching change, and it wasn't all that miraculous either, in the end he managed to get only 14 wins to finish the season. anyway we obviously have very different perspectives on this, let bygones be bygones.

I was more forgiving before DD spoke to the Athletic....that article showed he was clueless and essentially a cancer on the team...good riddance...he doesn't get it....he was put in place to do both win and develop...instead he did neither...they HAD to fire him he was so bad at both...even the tepid Jeff Petry was COMPELLED to throw DD under the bus to make management change course. Sorry but it was time for DD to go. I wish him well....just no where near the Habs.

He was 6-3-9 in 16 games in the regular season and 8-6-14 in 20 games in the playoffs (compared to 3-1-4 in 17 playoff games last year). He had the series winning goal in not only the Conference Final but in the Final as well and Kadri's OT game winner in Game 4 was sprung from a beautiful pass by Lehkonen.

It's very unlikely he's going to be a 3rd liner here. I think Lehky is going to be the forward version of Toews in Joe's trade history.
