Again, he didnt know exactly what he was going to do.

I understand Isle fans were pissed, but to be still going on about it, burning jerseys etc...is/was just dumb. Move on. (not specific to you, just in general to those Isles fans who are still whining about it.)

I think if you're being honest about the situation as it played out.....as a captain and a face of the franchise, you grab your sack and have that hard conversation with management. Asking not to be traded, and publicly making statements about finishing your career with your draft team, is misleading, and quite frankly, awkward, like his personality. I dont know a single fan, that was upset that he left, just how it was handled. There's a reason you dont often see a first overall pick leave and get nothing in return....has it ever happened before? That said, the isles management held onto the candle too long....so i blame them for getting no asset in return.
