That and the fact that not all prospects pan out. - dbot
Always that đź‘Ť
The farm has faced many changes from moving from Utica & a new coach. Needs more stability going forward. Expecting it now & seeing real progress on development producing better results. |

Are you talking in general, or you expect better results from Woo in particular?

In general but yes Woo has to assert himself for sure. The big team needs a feeder system that they’ve never had. If I had my way the D prospects would be very physical & skate well & turn well. Young F’s be fast & fill the net. |

A pretty good synopsis of what Hog faces.
https://canucksarmy.com/2...cks-top-nine-next-season/
Opportunity can come & go fast as rosters evolve. He’s risking falling down the depth chart & needs to make a bang in camp. I like him but has to produce & make his case. - Nighthawk
Yup, Hog & Pearson are in for a tough 4th line battle.

Only 21 years old. Some bad luck last season. He could have been Richardinson |

Lockwood has the motor & desire just not enough offence for his size & style. Role player depth. - Nighthawk
A lot of those players that Bulis lumped in with him have a lot more skill than he does. Be much more than a depth player. I'd be surprised if Lockwood makes the team this season. |

Hog is hot garbage, best case scenario is 4th line byatch.

Sure aren't appeasing Canucks fans with that. - manvanfan
If you look in depth there are many underlying reasons for this. Lol
Most are based on hope but some are reasonable too. |

Everyone that’s down on hog we’re high on him in his rookie season lol, every young player struggles at some point, I think he can be a good player with some more seasoning but do the fans have patience lol |

Perhaps what he’s saying is that Lockwood has a better shot at making the NHL, albeit with a lower ceiling, therefore he’s in that tier?
I don’t know, I stopped reading pretty early in that article. |

So what your saying is that if you were running the team every prospect would be Kucherov or Makar? You’re hired! |

No I say once continuity settles in the farm will get better. It has only just begun & will take some time. To date development hasn’t been good. |

Not down on him so much as others are vying for jobs & he’s facing more & better competition. Up to him to seize his playing time by producing. |

As I read in a comment section elsewhere, could it be that Hoglander had a decent 1st season because of getting to play a lot with Bo?
Could he have been okay that season, because the Canucks are so deprived of talent, similar to when Gaudette was in the lineup,a few years back.
Is the real Hoglander what we seen last season, and that 1st season was just an anomaly? |

I’d say a bit of both (all three) is probably true. |

Pearson will stick to Horvat, Höglander might end up in Abbotsford for the year, or up and down at least. |

Ya, I doubt Pearson moves to the 4th line. He is one of the few wingers that actually wins board battles, goes hard to the net, is sound defensively and occasionally will drop the gloves, if needed. |
