Isles in on Kadri with 11M in cap space. Dobson, Romanov needing to be signed also. Wonder what Lou has up his sleeve to get rid of $$

Nazem Kadri is still unsigned. Our model on
@EvolvingHockey
is more certain of a long-term deal with a new team, but a 3-year deal at $7.1M is the second most likely contract per the model. With rumors floating around, it seems a 1-3 year deal in the $7M range would make sense.

He can keep his name once we trade him to the Leafs!

He isn’t worth 4.2. Not even close.

Ya, I doubt Pearson moves to the 4th line. He is one of the few wingers that actually wins board battles, goes hard to the net, is sound defensively and occasionally will drop the gloves, if needed.
- Reubenkincade

I mean, I don’t love Pearson, would have preferred they traded him instead of resigning him, but he’s certainly one of few legit 200’ forwards on the roster.

Whether or not he's worth the money has literally no bearing on it though. It's 1 year and you offer high to pull him away from Toronto. Look what Carolina did with Kotkaniemi, offer big for 1 year then negotiate an extension at a lower salary.

Offer high enough they can't afford to keep him. Leafs are in the red right now already. He was scratched in the playoffs. Wouldn't take that much to get him out of Toronto. They would probably take a 3rd for him right now.

Marko Torenius Named Development & Goaltending Coach for Abbotsford

Torenius most recently served as Goaltending Coach for SKA St. Petersburg in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) from 2014-2022. Prior to joining SKA, he spent parts of two seasons as Goaltending Coach of the KHL's Sibir Novosibirsk and seven seasons as Team Manager and Goaltending Coach of the Espoo Blues of the SM-liiga.

Oh really. A Finnish goalie coach, who has been coaching Russians.

Edit: has coached Bobrovsky, Koskinen, Shesktrykin, Askarov, Kotchekov, Berdin, Kakhonen.

Pretty decent list

Saw Canada World Junior roster posted - no Canucks rights of course.

It feels like this happens year after year. Nothing on the Canada rosters. Sweden (of course) sometimes USA, but rarely Canada. It's a wonder we're in a deep pit ever since and including last years of Sedins.

Also, it's not like it's only bottom feeders with these high-end prospects. Rangers have multiple ... Minny has 3 Defenseman!
