maybe the Rangers will give Othmann that 9 game look, send him back to juniors sometime in November and then let him get prepared for the tourney
I have no doubt the kid will be gangbusters in camp and give the Rangers a lot to think about - jimbro83
Theres no reason why they shouldnt.
However, I will say, if they do, it needs to be done in a manner where hes put in a position to succeed. Playing him 8 minutes a night on the 4th line seems completely pointless for a guy coming off a 50 goal season in juniors.
Assuming LAF is given the green light at RW with Ziba and Kreider, Id hope that Othmann is given an opportunity to play 12 minutes with Chytil and Kakko (or whoever is on that line).

I doubt that would happen with putting Othmann with two other kids, I could see Gallant putting him with Goodrow, Trocheck, Blais, but definitely on the ice with a vet
There is a lot to figure out, Kravtsov too, where they all fit.
Another reason I feel like we don’t need another body like Motte in here. There are a lot of guys here.

Yea that makes sense as well. I think the best option here is obviously scratching Reaves.
Cuylle could get an early look playing with Goodrow and Blais. I think this line could be really good.
Its tough to figure out where exactly Othmann can line up since hes also a LW and GG doesnt really mess with where the vets play. Although I think LAF and Othmann playing with Zib could be fun to watch. Our questions of whether Othmann can truly play RW will get answered pretty quick.
