The first sex weeks of the schedule is brutal. Every team they play but Montreal has a better roster.

That’s a lot of reverse kotkaniemis

The entire team might not get 25 wins.

That will be a challenge.

I think Sandstrom is more likely be the backup.

I woke up today and decided this has to be a tank job by the front office. No way do they have this off-season after losing Giroux and the circus that was last season and Chuck still has a job. Right? Right?
- hereticpride

I've hoped that it's a silent tank job but honestly that will give feltcher too much credit and he's not smart enough to pull this off
Chuckles is probably proud of this team

The entire team might not get 25 wins. I’m assuming Hart will miss time at some point too.

They really did him no favors. A 32 yr old back up with 4 NHL games under his belt and a defense that’s basically just as bad as it was last year.

- hereticpride

Time for Hart to step up and not need a safety blanket.

I think Grosenick currently has the slight edge. But we will see in camp.

That's interesting. I myself would also have said Felix 100%.

Be typical Flyers to take the no future player.

Grosenick has been the better AHL goalie (to this point) but, above that, Sandström is better off playing than being a backup. This won't be a 1A/1B split. It will be a definite starter and a backup who plays when Hart needs a rest.

But we will see.

Doesn't matter he has no future as an nhl goalie. Maybe Felix does.

My opinion is he would be better served in the NHL learning. He is now what 25/26 years old?

Kind of like watching Thompson and Yandle…..better served having some young guys cut their teeth in the NHL….

It's an "unintentional intentional tank" if that makes any sense.

Hart needs quite a lot of rest cause he gets injured every season.

Last season he only managed to start 44 games with Jones getting 33 and Sandstrom 5.

I’m glad Forsberg eventually came back to the Flyers and we got to see him, albeit at the end of his career. A bit of redemption after being shipped out in the Lindros Trade. He was still an amazing player when healthy for those two years.

It’s about saving any point he can at this point. They have to play the better goalie. GM put himself in an extremely difficult scenario

There used to be a cable TV weekly top 10 plays in the very limited on demand section of whatever cable company it was at the time. One week they did a whos the best player in the league, and it was for the most part Forsberg or Jagr. Was a pleasure to watch him here.

I wonder when the idea that all they have to show for losing, is to run around like idiots gooning it up.

I wonder when that idea becomes something of an embarrassment. Loser identity, by men in mid life crisis.

We will have only one player in the lineup capable of gooning it up, not sure where this idea came from

I hope that's the case, but you can't rule out the 4th line on opneing night being Deslauriers-Brown-MacEwen.

Has Torts ever really gooned it up? Not so sure Nic D and Zac Mac are his type of players. Despite what the GM thinks.

Only problem is, Hart's career high is starting only 57% of the games in a season. That was in 19-20.

They really believe ZM and ND are both capable of much more than fighting.

CF repeatedly cited ND's PKing ability as a major driver of the signing. And ZM's been moved up the lineup and used on the PP at times last season.

Yes, but if we had picked Jagr instead of Ricci and not traded Forsberg, we could have had them both in their primes. We would. It be talking 49 years since our last cup if we had gotten that right.
