This was a better line than the one with Stevens, so that tells you how good this line was.

Krushelnyski-Gretzky-Kurri
Gretzky had 73 goals, 135 assists, 208 points, and was +100. That led the NHL in every category. By a landslide. Subtract his 73 goals and he ties Kurri for the scoring title.
Kurri had 71 goals, 135 points, and was +78. That was 2nd in the NHL.
Krushelnyski was a journeyman with a career high 25 goals. He played that lone season on this line and scored 43 goals, 45 assists, 88 points, and was +60. That's what made the line so amazing. Gretzky carried the guy to a ridiculous level. In the 10 years that followed, Krushelnyski went back to being a 15-20 goal scorer.
Would also add that this line wasn't just putting up PP points. Kurri finished 14th in PP goals. Gretzky was 60th! It was even-strength dominance. Most other lines mentioned thus far racked up piles of PP points. |

Maybe as a five man unit but as a trio of forwards nothing beats Lemieux-Francis-Jagr |

Wilson Backstrom and Ovechkin is laughable to me. They have never even been the best line in the league, let alone all time.
Prime Ovechkin and Backstom made an incredible duo but over a 1/3 of there production is on the power play.
40% of Backstroms points are on the powerplay. |

That I personally saw?
.
The Cash Line aka the Pizza Line of Alfie, Spezza and Heatley.
I saw the Dynastly line of Lafleur Schutt and Lemaire as a kid but don't remember much of the game. |

I remember the Elias-Arnott-Sykora line being pure magic. They always knew where each other was on the ice. Pretty sure we just witnessed a heck of a line with anyone-MacKinnon-Rantanen. Endless speed and skill and they weren’t small either.
Boston’s perfection line was dominant. OV-Backstrom-Wilson/Semin. Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis was great too.
Didn’t the Sens used to roll out Alfredsson-Spezza-Heatley? Beast of a line. |

As far as pure chemistry together, you've gotta consider Sedin - Sedin - Burrows (or Carter). |

Consolation prize to Shanahan-Fedorov-Yzerman. They didn't play together often. But Scotty often used them in the final minute to nurse a 1-goal lead. Nobody ever scored on these guys. 2-1 game. One minute left. This trio jumps on the ice. With Lidstrom on defense. Game over. Doesn't matter who the opponent is or who is playing in goal. The ultimate shut down line. |

The A-Line.
Elias - Arnott - Sykora
(Obviously, I'm bias.)
Non-Devils, I'd have to go with the Legion of Doom. What a beast of a line that was. Runners up to the Pizza line with Alfie, Spezza, and Heatley. Both lines were nearly unstoppable in their prime. |

Those fellers were a pain in the ass. I will give you that. - DrunkenCanuck
I'm actually having a difficult time putting forth a serious answer.
For Boston I guess it's already said Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak. Just trying to think in general. Gretzky and literally anybody, I don't know. So many good ones.

You know I was thinking that too! Good call.
Really loved: Lucic-Krejci-Iginla that one time. |

113 goals, 279 points in a tighter defensive era (with Spezza missing 15 games), plus they had 66 points in 20 playoff games as a trio. - LondonSen
If that’s the bar being set then the West Coast Express line of Naslund, Morrison, and Bertuzzi would be in the hunt with 119 goals and 272 points.
But that’s not what’s being talked about here. |

The best line I ever saw was Gretzky, Lemieux and Hawerchuk in the Canada Cup. There were many great NHL lines over the years and I couldn't pick one that was the best. Personally I'd be really happy to see any of the lines people have posted as their personal favourite choice playing for the Sens. |
