Every team could use an unvaxxed player who scored .25ppg in Sweden's second-tier league - eichiefs9
Why anyone cares, whether it’s the NHL, or otherwise, if a player is vaxxed is beyond me. I don’t think anyone needs anymore proof if it prevents the spread. It doesn’t. The second part yeah that’s not good |

If it stopped the spread there would be an argument for mandating vaccinations. I wouldn’t agree with it by any means but at least there would be some reason for it. It does not, in any way, prevent the spread of the virus. It never did. Therefore there’s no reason to mandate anyone to get it. Period. Not really sure how much more proof anyone needs(I know this wasn’t the angle of chiefs post it’s just such a stupid thing at this point to still be doing this). I can care less if I’m around an unvaccinated person and no one else should care either. There’s no more of a chance of getting sick from them then a double vaxxed, quadruple boosted, jackarse. |

I agree and there is no reason for Lou to play Dr. Fauci.

Well said. It’s absolute lunacy. Furthermore, I’m curious how this all plays out with respect to lawsuits. Someone losing their job because they refused the vaccine (which was sold as stopping the spread), someone forced to get the vaccine and then dies, the list goes on and on. Or how about the simple fact that it’s in violation of hipaa laws? |

Is it a Lou rule, or an NHL rule? I was under the assumption it was an NHL rule, but i could be wrong. |

A group of HCP’s just won a law suit in Chicago I believe and won. Northwell got sued a couple times and lost, they have hundreds of more lawsuits pending for Northwell alone. I played along and got vaxxed. Got mandated to get the booster. Got the booster. Then they lifted the mandate. Haven’t felt the same since I got that third shot. |

When all is said and done, there was no legal right to enforce a vaccine on people that was not tested. You have to think there's liability from somewhere if someone got injured, died, or lost their job because they didnt get jabbed. It was sold as a mandate to stop the spread.....that was incorrect. Now what? Im glad people are winning lawsuits......the doctors of the world failed.

The virus is real but the power grab is very real as well. Prayers for anyone lost and it was very wrong to force anyone to take this thing.

8/8 and still waiting for news about signings or trades is not good. NHL has a big problem. The off-season barely lasts a day.

Yeah i got vaccinated.....i believed it was best for me. I wasnt walking around acting like I got it for anyone else. It was so that my 98.87% chance of survival went higher. I dont think its a power grab as it is a money grab. I'd be willing to bet money that some of those in positions of power have off shore bank accounts that were funded. Follow the money...
The one size fits all mentality is where I take issue. They now say that 80% of deaths from Covid were from obese people. |

Thanks for the info. Wasn't sure if a trade needed to be sent immediately or if they can wait. Also, you are correct that none of us know what Lou is doing or has done. - Isleshockeyman
So IF, and that’s a big IF. Lou and another GM can have a trade and not go to the league but I don’t see anyone doing that so Lou can get his ducks in a row in that time said GM would lose their opportunities from others and if Lou doesn’t clean house or get rid of cap then he can just reneg. If it’s not registered/approved by the league then it’s not a deal.

The mandate protesters had their bank accounts frozen. I'd argue that having the right to earn a living was essential. |

Are you referring to the protestors (of whom two were members of my extended family) who illegally occupied Ottawa?
And what’s this door to door stuff? |

Not mandated by the NHLPA or league. However the officials were mandated. Every team took the policy into its own hands. The problem with not getting vaccinated was not being able to play the cross border games.
At the start of the 21-22 season there were 4 players on NHL Rosters that were not vaccinated. Lou is a stickler about it and everyone in the Islanders Organization were supposed to get the vaccine.
I agree that this vaccine does not stop the spread and that said it’s not a disease of the unvaccinated. |

Im referring to the right to peacefully protest......which we saw all throughout the pandemic, be it BLM, or Antifa. The rules changed to illegally occupying when it goes against the orders of Trudeau. Im referring to truck drivers who sit alone in their cabs for days on end, who were told they could no longer sit alone in their trucks unless they got a vaccine that was not proven to stop the spread. Not only do I agree with their right to protest, but they were in fact right....as the mandates got lifted. Trudeau claimed the police were outnumbered and then declared the emergency act.......Chief of police in the hearings said that was never advised.....Trudeau just abused power.
The government was tracking peoples phones to see how many trips people were making to the liquor store. People were going door to door in Alberta and Ottawa to push the vaccine.
Im gonna go out on a limb and say that Trudeau was making money on the vaccine that we now know doesnt stop the spread. |

I got vaccinated.....i was on board. My issue is the mandates. There's a difference between a pro athlete, and a slob who's diabetic and at risk. Not allowing people to work out and keep healthy while allowing fast food, and liquor stores to be open was bananas.
What about the pro athlete who got Covid pre vaccine, and then had the antibodies......now they cant work because they didnt get the jab? Total sh!tshow |
