Was wondering that as well. Kid certainly has the necessary skills to be a top nine NHLer.

And yet, I can’t help but wonder why the Ducks didn't qualify him. More than a little odd, especially when one considers the chemistry he displayed with Zegras.

Perhaps he has a bit of the Ho Sang mentality?

Couple buddies have played with him at random pick up games and say his talent is ridiculous (as is any NHL’er against us coming folk but they said even more with this guy. Steve Webb looked other worldly when I was still playing). Not exactly what I’m looking for but if we got him on the cheap maybe he puts it together with us.
