I actually like the idea of Brock on top line too.. he shoots and is a much better defensive player than he gets credit.

I would consider moving Brock to Barzy's wing and let Kadri center the second line. Barzy's ability to create time and space would be a pretty lethal combination with Brock's shot. You could also allow Brock to take some face offs on Barzy's behalf.

It may be worth a try keaner.

Never thought of Nelson on Barzal’s line. For some reason it just doesn’t seem like a match. Their styles of play are so different. That means nothing of course sometimes players just have chemistry. Not sure if it’ll happen or not but one thing I do know. Lambert will most likely be juggling lines for a while if we actually do wind up getting Kadri. Even if a center winds up going(which I highly doubt) somewhere it’s probably going to take some time to see what works.

Nelson and Lee have history playing together. So it might just work.......Barzal as the playmaker, creating space for Nelly's shot with Lee there to clean up rebounds. Worth a try!

There, we've figured it out. Someone call Lambert and let him know.

Meanwhile, I see Edmonton is now $6m over the cap and have yet to sign McLeod

Didn’t they try and move Nelson to wing a few years back?

Yeah he has been put on the wing but I don’t think he has been with Barzal.

Many years ago, he and Lee played wing on a line centered by Ryan Strome......."The Kid Line"...... the 3 came up from Bridgeport around the same time, I believe.

That was a good season for Strome. Played an excellent two way game. Then he went to crap.

That was weird, wasn't it? Strome was excellent his rookie season, then went downhill fast. He played a little better on the Rangers, I think, but now he's a Duck. Snow did well to trade him for Eberle.

It was really weird. I thought we had the second coming of Bergeron for a little while there

I remember Cizikas got injured that season, and Strome even did a fine job filling in for him on that line. He could do it all it seemed....and then.....nothing.
