Thanks, HockeyyInsiderr haha Remember this guy from 2-3 years ago? On trade deadline he'd show up on twitter talking like he knew it all - Barnaby36
Actually there was an article I read and Petry was saying how it was hard haha. I didn't just come up with that lol. He wasn't happy where he was playing and didn't pick up play till towards the end of the year. |

Yea I agree with Carter, if he's going into the top 6 it cant be anything more than a winger. But hopefully he never has to go to the top 6. - 668710
Yup. I think as long as his minutes are managed well he'll be better this year in terms of his play on both sides of the ice. Last year was just too much with Sid and Geno out.

Bergeron re-signed for $2.5M lol
EDIT: Scratch that. It's $5M. They're all reporting it weirdly. It's $2.5M in salary and $2.5M in bonus, but apparently he only has to play 10 games to get the bonus lol
EDIT AGAIN: Now it's all looking confusing. It may only be a $2.5M hit which would be insane. |

I would love to see him with us but we all know he wouldn't come here even if it was for $5M per. Loyal guy. |

Petry was going through some stuff with not being able to get to family easily with them being in America. He'll be good to go. - 668710
That's the hope, but he's at an age where you can't be sure. |

If Dumo is 50% better than he was last year I have no worries about him. I'm sure we'll see POJ and Smith swapped in and out throughout the season. When Dumo leaves after this season I'm sure they'll both be in the lineup unless they blow it.
I'm not worried about Petry. He's not a true #1 and was the #1 on an abysmal team. He probably will only see 2nd PP time, so I wouldn't expect big numbers, but I think he'll surely do better than last year. I really have no concerns about the defense. Rutta is so completely unnecessary, but I'm sure he's going to flourish on a 3rd pairing role.
My real concern is the bottom six scoring. My hopes are that Carter sucked the second half of the year because he was playing too far out of his role for his age because of Geno missing half the year, and that in a more controlled role he'll be better and that Zucker sees some positive regression in the scoring department. - Rinosaur
I don't think Smith gets much of a chance because he's waiver exempt, 8 other defensemen aren't, and the team can't fit a 23 man roster under the cap. Too bad really, but he skipped the AHL so maybe it will be good for him. |

OK, but the absolute obsession people have with that man is unbelievable! His name will come up any conversation.

These are the Pittsburgh Penguins. There will be an injury before the season starts lol
Beating the RW dead horse and I know you're not a fan of him, but I think moving McGinn should be done. Leaves more space for call-ups and allows to get a better look at some of the younger players.
I know everyone poops on Nylander, but I really would like to get a look at him. |

He's a stable genius clown.
I think generally the issues we as a country have werent caused by Trump. He's more a symptom of the illness than the actual illness.
It doesnt help both parties are run by a bunch of loons plus the bureaucratic state we have. |

Trump has easily been the worst president of all time and he basically opened a can of worms of division in this country that would have happened eventually. Everything that's going wrong systematically with our country has been bubbling for a long time. He just sped up the process. I just don't know if it would have erupted as badly it did under another President (Republican or Democrat). I don't care who is president right now, it could Biden, Cruz, DeSantis, Newsome, etc... the mess will take more than one term to fix.
I saw that Andrew Yang along with other moderate Democrats and Republicans are working on starting a third party which would be great, but third parties never seem to take flight.
