Carol Schram: World Jrs tuneups; Will Huberdeau's deal impact J.T. Miller's situation? The Hlinka Gretzky Cup for 2022 will be awarded this weekend, as tune-up games are now underway for the World Junior Championship. And Jonathan Huberdeau's new mega-contract could have implications for the Canucks in the Pacific Division and with J.T. Miller at the bargaining table.

Thanks Carol.

Some nice talent playing in the Hlinka tournament.
Hopefully the Canucks get an extra pick or 2 in the top 3 rounds.

I would say Miller will be getting a minimum of 8.5 from whichever team he gets trade to.

Thanks Carol.

I saw this in the blog "Miller has 32-67-99 in 637 career NHL games."

Should be 169-285-454 in 637 games. Regardless it does show Miller as a step below Huberdeau and Zibanejad but still overall he is still going to get paid hopefully he is realistic and stays in Vancouver.

I agree Flames have solidified their spot top of the Pacific for years to come!

Long live JONATHAN HOCKEY!

Treliving gets Weegars signature on an extension and that trade looks like a huge win for the Mighty Flames!

Also agree Flames D corp is tops in the Pacific @ 22 mil not bad when you compare Canucks 30 mil D fence!

Till he's 38? Congrats to Mr. HooperD'oh Looks like K/YMan digs it. Had to use kitty litter to clean up his excitement. (greazy)

Just so I don't multi post, Thanks to well wishers, I tend to only post back if I get asked a question.

Funny that Mr. Mosquito said heart stuff....they were worried cuz my bpm were 35, my regular for most of my life has been in the 40's...weird.

But I'm really good right now.

Thanks for the lines Hawk. No real clue on the kids coming up.

Great track.

KY-Man digs a great many things and Hooperdoh' will provide. Gonna be an exciting season chasing Edm all over the place.

Bo is due for a bounce back in the leadership role.

Can he do it?

Like most GMs, Treliving will be long gone and won’t have to worry about it.
There’s talk he may replace Bettman.

So, sorta like the desperation Jim Benning signing of OEL you just made fun of?

Jim didn’t sign OEL, he traded the 9th oa pick to get what OEL brings to the team.
Treliving signed a 115 pt player that he traded for. He won’t be around long enough to worry about it. Flames are stuck with that contract much like the Canucks will be stuck with Millers unless he’s traded before he gets extended.
