Carol Schram: World Jrs tuneups; Will Huberdeau's deal impact J.T. Miller's situation?
The Hlinka Gretzky Cup for 2022 will be awarded this weekend, as tune-up games are now underway for the World Junior Championship. And Jonathan Huberdeau's new mega-contract could have implications for the Canucks in the Pacific Division and with J.T. Miller at the bargaining table.

Thanks Carol.
I saw this in the blog "Miller has 32-67-99 in 637 career NHL games."
Should be 169-285-454 in 637 games. Regardless it does show Miller as a step below Huberdeau and Zibanejad but still overall he is still going to get paid hopefully he is realistic and stays in Vancouver.

Thanks Carol!
I agree Flames have solidified their spot top of the Pacific for years to come!
Long live JONATHAN HOCKEY!
Treliving gets Weegars signature on an extension and that trade looks like a huge win for the Mighty Flames!
Also agree Flames D corp is tops in the Pacific @ 22 mil not bad when you compare Canucks 30 mil D fence! - K-man25
lol you lost Stone and Gudbranson big accolades from you last year. Weegar will help for sure. You have (1st round injury Tanev) and PO Marky. Good luck with that WC spot thank you Benning!! A good Hockey man.

So, sorta like the desperation Jim Benning signing of OEL you just made fun of?
- dbot
Jim didn’t sign OEL, he traded the 9th oa pick to get what OEL brings to the team.
Treliving signed a 115 pt player that he traded for. He won’t be around long enough to worry about it. Flames are stuck with that contract much like the Canucks will be stuck with Millers unless he’s traded before he gets extended.
