Would you rather that they have Colliton run his system? It matters because when the prospects to get their cup of coffee, they can actually acclimate into the team and get some mental validation that what they have been working on is correct.
Is there nothing at all meaningful to be taken out of this year? They have to start building what they want. I would think they want the entire team to play together and start to build some semblance of structure regardless of the pieces in place. - Chunk
Richardson is a rookie coach starting on the ground floor of a total teardown. #1 he's gonna wanna see what works and fix his mistakes as a rookie head coach. #2 he's gonna want to put his stamp on his club and create a culture and often systems are a big part of that. ....Hopefully it's in the mold of structure first and if not you sit.
The first yr of a total teardown for the rookie coach. Big test for him and his squad and IMO he'll treat every practice, meeting and game like he's getting them ready for the Finals.

Apparently PE writes for The Athletic under I'm guessing an alias (Sean McIndoe). Has to be him. Who else would write a column called
"Is the NHL rigged in favor of your team or against it? A 32-team investigation"
Unsurprisingly, here was his assessment of the Hawks.
Chicago Blackhawks
There was a time when the Hawks were unquestionably the league’s favorite team, the golden child that got every outdoor game and marketing push. But that all changed once the Kyle Beach scandal broke and (rightly) cost a lot of people their jobs, and the franchise its credibility. The stench will stay on the team for a long time, and the NHL would probably prefer that they finished last for years to come. Luckily, their own GM seems to want that too.
Verdict: League rigged against you
And less surprising, the Pens...
Pittsburgh Penguins
Enjoy Connor Bedard and another two decades of getting to watch a generational franchise player win Stanley Cups so you don’t tank or fake like you’re moving to Kansas City again, you frauds.
Verdict: League rigged for you |

Yup. It couldn't possibly be because they have sucked for four years now.

You are funny "D", but you do not pay much attention. I would not ever write "There was a time when the Hawks were unquestionably the league’s favorite team". I would have written something like this - The league continues to hate the Blackhawks, even making them a laughing stock by putting them in all the highly visible games just so they can lose in front of the national audience (which is also a joke, since there really isn't a national audience). |

I’ve noticed that all the great conspiracy theorists and grievance mongers, ie: Don Cherry and Donald Trump, that there always comes a time when they contradict themselves and they usually manage to do it in the same sentence. Congratulations PE, you’ve joined the elite. |

You don't see the irony in that. You see, you have bought the lie that the league and the media is telling you.

On a separate note, rather have S Jones and his contract than Huberdeau and his recently signed contract with the Flames, woof |

I can't see how coaching doesn't matter at any level. Just because many players may not be here in a few years the coach sets a standard for all players old and new and expectations of them. Sure we may not win many games this year but this wont be a game by game review, it'll be shift by shift. |

Comparing the two terrible contracts is akin to comparing if a Pacer or a Vega was the worse car. |

The Canadien Minister of Truth, flashing his "Don't have to wear a mask card" issued by Trudeau strikes again. Insert Trudeau patting serf on the head emoji here
Conspiracy theorist - a term used by people who do not have the ability or have consciously outsourced their critical thinking to "experts", who in their own words, make things up as they go along and ....get this...contradict themselves every time they speak.
Now playing, all across Canada, COVID theater....The great Canadian surrender of freedom... but its everyone else who believes in "conspiracy"....what a sad time in history.

And no there is no league conspiracy....to hold down teams, just to shut players mouths. Such a sad state of affairs in pro sports. No characters and honesty anymore. Just a bunch of robots... The old Soviet Union would be proud. How ironic.

Conspiracy theorist is a term used by people who don't blindly believe the rantings of just anyone. Regardless of the outlandishness of the claim, show me the evidence (and no, strong assertion is not evidence), and I will believe you.
The burden of proof is on those making the claim, not those within earshot. |

Proof? Common Chunk don't you know you just believe everyone who thinks the same way as you and keep repeating it, and come up with little gimmicky catch phrases that everyone else like themselves can repeat and actually buy them so they can put it on their bumpers, t shirts and windows at home. Now that's special.

Please tell me what freedoms Canada lost or doesn’t have compared to anywhere else? I’d argue Canada has more rights and liberties than most countries on earth. But a conspiracy theory would suggest otherwise, would it not? |

The Pinto was terrible especially with the explosion package but Vegas were only car that rusted in the showroom. As for the worst car I’d put Ladas at the top of 5he list. |
